Dragon Age: Origins Review, Warning of the Taint.

I rarely buy games upon release and recently I haven't had much time to play games as you guys know. However, for Bioware titles I've always made an excepetion. So you can imagine my excitement when Dragon Age Origins was recently released. I usually don't write a review until I'm finished and have a thorough view of the game, but in this case I felt obligated to warn others. So I quickly wrote up a review (still long though I noticed after it was finished). At least the console version of this game is not on par with previous Bioware titles, and I fear EA has something to do with it. While still an enjoyable game (with some problems that could be fixed with patches), it was extremely disconcerting to see this backwards step taken by a Bioware title. Just checkin in

I dropped by gamespot to check out what has been going on in the gaming world and thought, what the heck, I'll sign in. Then I saw the Tracked blogs section in the bottom right hand corner of my profile and thought, what the heck, just for the sake of curiosity. And then for old times sake I found myself sifting through peoples blogs and thinking back on the many found memories I've had from this place. I wouldn't say I'm back, but I felt like checking in. I posted in a few blogs I read, and really enjoyed seeing what people were up to, there is certainly a wonderful group of people who frequent the halls of gamespot. For those who are curious life is going well for me. I just got an offer accepted on a new house and am thriving in my new career which I'm extremely passionate about. Being busy and not having time for the little things wears on me, but I certainly couldn't be happier with the direction my life is headed in. The only gaming I really do these days is Gears of War 2 every now and again. It's mindless and I have a great group of people I play with, I can't afford to get addicted to a great RPG right now...I simply don't have the time. Once my career stabilizes and things start to calm down, it would be fun to check in here more often, even if I'm not playing games.

There is no such thing as remaining stagnant in life, you either move forward or backward. So I hope everybody here is making sure to move in a positive direction, no matter slowly.

It's time to take a break...

I forwarned everyone of this when I returned to GS a few months ago, and now the time has finally come. That time is for me to find a career and to search for a house to buy so that I can start building equity. I recently quit my part time job and cut back on my gaming in order to fully concentrate on these important goals and now I must take a break from GameSpot for the same reason. This is temporary, but I'll probably be gone for a month or two (or more, but it is unlikely). I love this site and more importantly the people that make up the community here a lot, so I have no plans on leaving permenantly, but this is something I must do. I'm still going to be on Xbox Live playing Halo 3 (and maybe some other games) every now and then with friends of mine, so feel free to drop me a line if you want to join in. I'm thinking about grabbing Gears 2 as well, but am not sure about that one. When on line, it is not always me because my room mate uses my ID to play Halo, but the only way to find out is to ask . If you want to stay in contact while I'm gone, send me a PM and I'll tell you my email address, otherwise I'll be back after I've accomplished what I need to.

Anyways, Take it EZ...I'm gonna miss you guys.

DraconigenaDeus must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could DraconigenaDeus possibly have for not rating a single film?

Hello everybody, my name is Jeff and I am from Portland, Oregon in the United States. I'm 23 years old and graduated from college with a degree in Math and Physics. I'm currently looking to find a career in some sort of sports engineering. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When it comes to gaming, RPGs are definitely my favorite. I enjoy all types of games, but nothing can compare to a good RPG. They provide a complete experience that I feel is unmatched by any other form of entertainment. Similarly, I'm a huge nut when it comes to SRPGs, I never get tired of them. I also love Action/Adventure/RPGs, First Person/3rd Person Shooters, and any decent game with local co-op. The one genre of games I don't enjoy much are puzzle games. If you are interested in my favorite games, check out my past blogs, I have a few thorough ones dedicated to this topic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The main reason I came to and eventually joined gamespot was for the reviews, specifically all the great user reviews. For this reason, I really like writing reviews to give back to the community in the way it has given to me. I am a very analytical person (maybe you guessed that already...) and my reviews are done in a manner to address almost every detail. I encourage you to check them out, and am always open to constructive criticism when it comes to my reviews. If you want the same in return, just ask. I don't want people tracking me who blog all the time and don't add intelligent comments to my blog though, so if that is your goal, don't bother. I'm a huge fantasy sports junky and sports fan in general. When it comes to sports I feel I can hold my own in any conversation, with respect to American sports that is. I make it a point to watch SportsCenter every night before I go to bed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I enjoy playing sports just as much as I do following them. I work out several times a week and am a very healthy person. I don't drink or do any sort of drugs, I like being in a controlled state of mind and don't enjoy doing anything that damages my body. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not religious, but I respect all religions. My best friends come from many different ideologies and I enjoy learning about them. I believe any spirituality that molds a quality human being is a good one.
