Damn it, I hate having such a long post up there!
My computer crashed and I lost all my files, including my entire novel and the almost completed fanfiction chapter I was working on while in California. Needless to say, I am pissed. Hmm... that's probably why I went lateral when DWings called Repton almost 2-D. I'm not pretty when I'm angry, but fury does inspire all the most sensical of my tirades.
Murr.
Twelve hour flight with a two hour layover through Michigan. I need a nap.

I feel bad for you there.
My parents' computer lost all of their files too... Including all of the pictures we had...
However we got this weird thing on Internet that brought back most of it...

You should have taken out your hard drive and attempted to ressurect it. All you need is a clean room with no signs of inhabitants, a trusty screwdriver, a very, very cold room, and a similar hard drive.
Yes, it's frankensteinish.
...Or you can scrap it and take the UBER MAGNETS from them and crush fingers, or destroy sensitive analog stuff.
