5.Dragon Quest 8- With artwork by Akira Toriyama, a go anywhere you want map system, and classic battle modes this game is definitely a winner.
4.Kingdom Hearts 2. The sequel to the immensley popular fusion of Square and Disney proved to be more than a sequel but more like a brand new chapter in the series with new drive forms, an enhanced battle system, a darker and more complex story, and finally answering alot of the questions from the first Kingdom Hearts.
3.Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars- If someone, before this came out, told you Mario would star in an RPG and it would be fantastic you would call them nuts but apparently leveling up and equiping your favorite mario characters along with some fresh faces would one day become the third best RPG of all time.
2.Final Fantasy X- If you're looking for a RPG with an amazing story, amazing voice-acting, immense and exciting battle systems, rich and complex skill grids to maximize your characters performance to your liking, and one of the best videogame soundtracks you'll ever, THAN LOOK NO FURTHER because this is it. But what could possibly claim our number 1 spot?
1.Earthbound- A cult classic whose prequel and sequel never even saw that light of day in America at our number 1 spot. Of course. Even with 16 bit graphics thisgame pushed the SNES's limits with crazy lave limp esque backgrounds in battles, nutty characters, and enemies such as the "Mole Playing Rough" and the "Annoying Old Party Man", this game proves that a game good enough can stand the test of time and go for over $100 on ebay or amazon. Highly addicting gameplay and an amazing story make this a winner for anyone who wants a classic 16 bit style RPG that takes chancesand does something'scrazy but comes out on top as the number 1 rpg of all time.
