I knew the focus would be on action and CGI, but I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline and the humor. It starts off strong, and ends even stronger. There are a couple of campy moments along the way, but the acting is solid, and the supporting cast does a great job of adding flavor and depth to the presentation. My only serious complaint (*spoiler*) is that a kid kills Megatron!? That made no sense whatsoever. I would have rather seen Optimus Prime do it. Never the less, I will be purchasing this one on DVD Day-1.

This 2 1/2 hour movie could have been edited down to 1 1/2 hours and it would have probbably been 50% better. I expected a lot from this film. Did I hear someone say they spent $300 million? I dont see where all that money went. Did the 20 minutes of Venom and Sand man cost $200 million? They were great while they lasted, but definately not worth that much. ILM could have done a better job for $50 million. They looked blurry, and superimposed. Spiderman 2 had more realistic lighting, and more convincing camera angels. I can barely even address the fact that emo-Spiderman was a complete joke to the audience. The black suit was supposed to amp up his spider sense, not make him dance like a throw back from the 70's. This is what happends when movie maker believe their own B.S. This movie could have been fantastic. But there was too much focus on emotions, and crying. Im serious when I say each and every super hero/villain in this movie cries at one point. I walked into the theater happy, and walked out depressed. Giant Sandman near the end was cool, but not enough to warrant a DVD purchase I dont think...

Mind bending. 30-minutes into the movie, 2-couples in the theater who were gasping and awwing simply gave up and walked out. I didnt expect that reaction, but it does illustrate that this movie is not for everyone. The love story was a little phony and the ending is somewhat of a rip off. But the concept, execution, and special effects are very good. The ladies I was lucky enough to watch it with, were absolutely stunned when it was over. -This is no date movie! Your brain feels like a pretzel when the credits roll.
