"guilty pleasure" [5/27/09]
remember our maid who stole my mp4 player, used my cellphone without my permission, and made my bill cost like more than 12,000 pesos ($250)? well, she's gone forever.. good riddance!
last week was her so-called "one week off" but after that she said that we have to look for another maid 'cause she wants to be with her family. because of that, i'm now doing all the work! i cook, clean, wash dishes, and take out the trash. before, all i do is give Kelly a bath and all her needs and wash my clothes.
my mom works the whole day. my brothers do nothing but use the computer, play ps2, and watch tv. it's kinda unfair.. but i'm glad i get to do something good.

"fall there, too much rainfall here" [9/27/09]
have you guys heard of the tragic typhoon Ondoy here in the philippines? thousands of people were affected 'cause of this storm that occured in 1 day and caused flood all over the metro and its neighboring provinces...
so there in u.s.a, it's fall.. and there are a lot of new shows/seasons...Gossip Girl...90210...The Beautiful Life...Melrose Place...Glee...Vampire Diaries...

my Lego Phineas & Ferb vid was posted on youtube the day after i posted my previous blog here. it was really surprising when swampym left a comment on that vid. they're the creators of Phineas & Ferb, and they're somehow close with ashley tisdale!

"downfalls" [2/14/09]
i definitely can't recall the whole thing i said, but here's how it went..
Me: I'm Celine Alava, the summarizer of the affirmative side.
[now why did i say that? the moderator already did!]
Our first formal debate has come to an end. Each side's points were discussed. As for our side, we believe that the number of school days must be retained and should not be reduced to 4 because... *pauses* of the points they said.
Our first point is that students we'll become even more lazy than they, we are now. We're lazy. *i laughed, then the audience did too *
As for our second reason, there would be a big lack of time because of the many disturbances.. blah, blah, blah..
here's how it ended:
Me: So do you really think that reducing the school days to 4 is all good? *looks at notebook* We think it's not. *looks again * We think that it's best if the number of school days will still be five. [idk if that's what i really said]

"the ultimate recognition day" [3/30/09]

we arrived at school. and they were all done walking across the aisle. we entered the auditorium. i heard someone saying, "she's late." thought of gossip girl at that moment. who am i like.. serena?
i went to my seat and G, who was seated next to me, greeted me, "Kuya L, you made it!"
i asked her if Ms. S noticed that i wasn't around, she said that she assumed that we're all present. i was relieved 'cause this means that i still get to receive my "punctuality and perfect attendance" award i really deserve that 'cause since i was grade 6, i was never absent except for only 1 time when i got sick and i was never "officially" late -meaning i didn't have tardiness slips - but i still didn't have that award until now.

"funny, funnier, and funnierer" [3/19/09]
saturday, mar. 14 - at home
i was fixing my headband using mighty bond, a super glue. and something so funny happened.. my thumb was glued to my pointer! i'm talking about the left hand. i tried using acetone to "unglue" my 2 fingers, but it didn't work. i was like, "i'm stuck like this forever!" i called mom who was at the office to tell her about what happened. she told me to read what's written in the label so i did, and it says that when it's on skin, use acetone. i tried applying more acetone. it worked!
*hallelujah! hallelujah, hallelujah!*

"project runaway" [3/6/09]

wednesday, mar. 4
our teachers and some D'can employees went to Bangkok, Thailand. they'll stay there up to sunday. it's their field trip.. so we don't have cl@sses for 5 days!
this day, i was with 4 honor students at SM Megamall. we celebrated our triumph over this school year and our exams. for me, it's like our "project runaway", meaning easy victory, 'cause most of use took only like 4 exams, and we like run away from school and had fun at the mall. we ate at Dad's and spent like 4 hours in the ice skating rink. it was my first time to experience both - eat-all-you- can and ice skating.

"thunderstorm thoughts" [4/21/09]
It's natural for us to be fearful in a storm (literal or figurative). The disciples had Jesus right there in the boat with them, yet they were afraid (Matt. 8:23-27). He used the calming of the storm as a lesson to show them who He was-a powerful God who also cares for them.

We wish that Jesus would always calm the storms of our life as He calmed the storm for the disciples that day. But we can find moments of peace when we're anchored to the truth that He's in the boat with us and He cares.

"question answered" [4/26/09]

today, the message from our youth fellowship was about the second coming of Christ. while i was praying after i received the Lord's supper (communion), i realized that that was the answer all along! reminding myself that Jesus is coming back anytime will make me focus my life on important things such as prayer, the Bible, church activities, school, and whatever my parents order me to do

--so that's my most fave blog.. but honestly, i didn't really focused as i expected myself this school year i hope now my memory's refreshed by this message, i'll be more focused in life.

hello guys i miss you!

my topic/title is so random.. it's an allusion to a line from ashley tisdale's song "crank it up". it just popped in my head, and so as this thought of writing a blog.

it's 12 midnight here but i'm still up, and i spent like the whole day in front of this monitor doing my research take-home-for-the-holiday quiz, playing restaurant city on facebook, watching youtube vids, and before writing this blog, capturing selena gomez pics..

i love her! she's such an amazing person. and i love hair short hair..

anyway, so i gotta go 'cause you know what time it is.. time for bed.

i just hate youtube for not allowing / deleting the uploads of the new episodes. i haven't seen the ending [part 5] of Gossip Girl 3x02 and 90210 season 2 episodes 2 & 3. i'm just glad we're one week late from the u.s. so on tuesday, i'll finally see how the GG episode ends.

i'll never know how The Beautiful Life ended 'cause there's no part 5. how could CW cancel that show? they already filmed 4 episodes and they cancelled it on the 2nd? many loved TBL and they'll just cancel it like that?!

Melrose Place was ok.. but i'll just wait for it to air here. i'll not be watching it on youtube. Glee premiered here a week before GG season 3 and i only saw the 1st or 2nd episode. idk if i'll watch The Vampire Diaries when it airs here.. it's like so overrated. what do you guys think about that show?
