Apparently I have been tagged, and now I must reveal 10 facts about myself or be hunted by a group of super rich entrepreneurs for their sick and morbid entertainment.
1) I dislike poetry, and yet the only poem I like appears to be somewaht complex in nature. It is called Une Charogne, or "A Carcass" in English. I can't exactly tell what it is about, but it seems to tell a story of a man and a woman who come acorss a body and he thinks how one day his love with be just like this rotting carcass, but she will always be alive in his memory.
2) Sometimes I ramble on about nothing in particular.
3) I am quite simple in nature, but if you try to get to know me I sudenly become quite complex, either having contradicting views on matters or not knowing how/why I think/feel about a particular matter.
4) When I think of my favourite movie I usually go through a big list before ending up with "Man on Fire." Ironically we got the movie by accident, and it turned out to be very enjoyable. Coincidently it also happens to be my girlfriends favourite movie.
5) My favourite book series is a 4 part series of books that detail the life of Merlin, but not as you woud imagine him. Written by Mary Stewart, she describes Merlin not as an old wizard with potions in a castle tower, but as a young boy, and then a young man, before finally an old man, and portrays him at most as someone who has premonitions. He simply has visions, dreams. He does not immediately know what they mean, and he ponders who gives him this power, and yet when he finally understands them he uses not divine power, or ficitional magic to his advantage, but good old book smarts. Throughout the series Merlin studies under varying teachers, such as doctors, architects and some generals. When he displays his "power" he is using nothing more than knowledge, but as people do, they call him a wizard, and attribute his great achievments to some divine and magical power. The book is settled in historical accounts and really tells a unique story of Merlin and Arthur.
6) I dropped out of Uni after a semester because I didn't like my course. Two years later and I still haven't done anything with my life.
7) I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe love conquers all and that when you try to deconstruct a relationship to understand why or how you're in love you take away the magic that it is.
8 ) I absolutly hate seeing teenagers walking around talking as though they are in love.
9) I can't think about interesting facts about myself, so instead I appear to have been talking about the facts more than why they are unique to me.
10) A big fat hen. (Actually I feel awkward trying to say what I actually wanted to say here. Perhaps one day if things go the way they've been semi-planned I'll refer back to this blog, and some of you wil still be around, and I'll explain what I meant. In the mean time, write this I.O.U down on a peice of paper, lock it away in your safe, and bring it to me when you're told to. Those without it will not have it revealed to them.
p.s. Your face.)
Well, I hope you somewhat enjoyed that. It wasn't particularly interesting, it certainly doesn't reveal anything new about me, or give you any insight into my life or the inner workings of my brain. Hell, I didn't even mention gaming, but as long as it gets the guns pointed away from my face I'm happy. Now excuse me while I go and sulk because someone didn't call me back when they said they would and I go find something for breakfast (which I don't usually eat but have been forced to make a promise to the said person from the phone who wil not call me back anytime soon yet still forces me to eat breakfast--that sentence made no sense).
If you want to take this outside we shall do so, but in order to fight you must place your top hat on the side of the ring before entering. We are men, not barbarians. Good day.
Enjoy!
