That`s the best way to get comp. ^-^
At least that way I know what I`m putting in it, and can buy only components that I want at a cheaper price.
I myself, got a custom-build comp first (though I did not make it, my dad said some of the specs and the seller added cheap components at a quite high price), and then I decided to upgrade it part by part. Ever since then, I think I can say I changed almost all of my computer parts, so I guess it`s safe to say this is my third comp (the previous one was the second).

At least your getting a new one... I'm gonna try and get an Alienware labtop over the summer with my graduation money, but I'm waiting as long as possible because I want Vista, but it can't handle the dual graphics cards in alienware labtop's, so people can only have one in it unless they stick with XP (and I'm not doing that). I need the dual graphics cards etc... because I want to be able to get Crysis when it comes out, but man I don't even know if an Alienware with dual graphics cards and such will be able to handle that game, it's graphics are too good!

Dude i got a site where you can build a better PC than they can ever offer for cheaper, my PC that i just built is still XP because im waiting a bit longer for Vista, and trust me, you dont need dual GC
