Hellboy is a great movie with interesting characters, some memorable, if corny dialogue and one-liners, and impressive visuals. This movie made me appreciate del Toro's directing style.

The Last Starfighter isn't the greatest movie ever, but it has lots of heart, humor, and adventure. The plot isn't too overly developed, but it's still an enjoyable movie with lots of good production design (and very primitive CGI).

I have no problem with the omission of certain scenes to fit a movie, but I think the scenes that were included could have been blended together a bit more nicely - the film seemed a bit disjointed in the end.

I like this movie, but my advice to potential viewers is to not take it too seriously - appreciate all of the campy stuff that's packed in.
