Hello there, I'm bloggin today because of something all GS members notice

The Gamespot Level

Indeed my friends, one of the main reasons we keep coming back to GS is the level, I usually estimate that if you keep relatively active you should rise up 10 levels per year, I've been a member for 3 years so I'm ok but there are some other users that have been members since 2008 and they're already catching up to me they are really active post blogs post in forums comment in videos etc. My percentage has been rising 1 or 2% per day but it seems eternal, and I think if this is level 33 how should be 34 or 35 or level 40 how do you guys manage to wait for it? I remember when I was excited to raise a level and I'm still excited now but it seems like forever.

In the end the gamespot level is something we all enjoy, it can difference new users from high experienced ones, unlike other sites where you can't see who is who. Since this is a video game dedicated site it should be obvious that we should level up just like in games. It's one of the things I enjoy from this site even if I have to wait to raise levels but...don't we wait too in the games? Pokemon? Fire Emblem? Golden Sun? RPGs? How do you manage to put up with the wait? Do you like waiting or do you not care? Do you enjoy the level up or do you hate the level system? Discuss ladies and gentlemen

Until Next time!

yea levels is one of the main factors that keeps me coming back here! and for the wait issue in my case iam always on thanks to my freeze program since iam too lazy to enter username and password all over again everytime i visit GS maybe thats why my precentage keeps going up everytime i check my profile

I don't care my level but I definetly agree with you. I think if you are over level 20 or so everything kinda slows down. It gets harder to level up.

If you haven't notice, most people who do have high levels don't really care about it. It's for that reason that they really reached it so easily.

Don't worry about just keep doing your thing and then before you know you'll be there.

Well, the people who play RPGs (Like me) are somehow entertained by sitting through the same tedious commands of Attack::Kill YOU GAINED 33 EXP and a cookie rinse and repeated 300,000 times. at least we can do different things to level up here Kaiser

To answer your question of what I'm studying, I am studying TV Production to become a Sports Commentator. Til' next time Kaiser
