Today's blog is about something we GS users experience A LOT and that is.....
UNION INVITATIONS
That's it people, let's start from here. Remember back in the day when you were level 4 or level 6 and you were a fresh GS user you were looking for emblem still had no banner not too many friends and you wanted a place where you could chat with some users and stuff. Then you found out the Union System and started browsing some unions until you found a "Nintendo Gamers United" "Nintendo Legion" "Zelda Hobbit Union" "Red Cap Plumbers Union" "Oftopic Union" bla bla bla you joined started to chat and you had fun you grew some levels until you wer 8 or 10 and you decided to create your own union eventually because it looks like some "cool clan where me and my friends can hang out" so you create your own union and the first few days you are all excited with the posts and thing and you think "Damn I must create my own website eventually" so for the first few weeks everything goes smoothely until posts begin to decline, members begin to leave and you end up trying to revive it but you quit then you get back to your own union only to find it dead too. That's the sad truth here.
To us older gs users this is some childhood story unions are cool and all but it's not what they were "back in the day" but there is something that we see almost everyday in our inbox....Union invitations, I often find myself adding some "randomuser is tracking your contributions" to my friendlist only to find the next minute that "random user has invited you to the NintendoZeldaMarioSonic HyperDupersecret club society union" I find almost 15 invites in my inbox and I decline every single one of them, I'm a member in almost 10 unions were I declined almost all of them and I'm the leader of one that died almost two years ago (I wasn't the founder) so the only unions I'm active are The Random Game Union, The Pokemon League and the Emblems Union. I find it stressing that I declined the rest of them but the won't go off my list. And I keep receiving more and more and MORE union invitations, no problem I'll still join some friend's union to help him/her out but my time of excitement in union has expired, I still enjoy going to some but not to be a member in 20+ unions. I wish for an option to turn down automatically some union invites. If you're reading this and you sent me a union invite don't feel bad It's not that I automatically decline them I click the union and check it out first if I see it has potential I join but I don't want to join some new union that will die in 2 weeks.
That's it for today, what's your opinion on union invites, do you like them? do you hate them? do you envy them? discuss ladies and gentlemen
Until Next Time
Comments
I just leave the invites now know that eventually the list will be too full to allow more.
Anyway, how many of those unions you get invites for actually have a lively board?
