May the Dark Side guide you.
Assassin's Creed 2
In my opinion, Assassin's Creed was a masterpiece of games. From it absolutely Huge maps to its 'hold you to your seat' story, to its top notch graphics, this game will forever live on as a Masterpiece. It did, however, have some down points. First, apart from the collectable flags, there wasnt any replay value. It's always the same thing: Run around, climb stuff, kill people, pick pocket, rince, repeat. It could have used a multiplayer option, And the ending??? Were you as confused as I was. Of course!
Inspite from all that, it's sequel, Assassin's Creed 2 will try to topple near perfection. Can it do it? Lets see if it can.
Desmond is back, and he's still stuck in the Animus. This time we uncover his 15 century ancester, Ezio Auditore, as he assassonates his way through Venice Italy. Many of the same features from AC are still here, such as the notority system (which has been upgraded) and all the roof top jumping action that made AC a instant classic. AC2 also has a meater story. Ezio is a lot warmer than his counterpart Altair. (AC) Altair might have listned to orders (no matter ho grudgingly) but Ezio is a free spirit, and takes orders from no one but himself, which is mostly driven by his desire for vengence.
And the somewhat linier missions have been scrapped. Now when you play, you'll get a different experience each time. Now you can complete each mission how you want to, when you want to. And the 4 little mini quests? They've been expanded to 16.
Ezio is also more nimble than Altair, so he can go places Altair could never go. (and Altair cold go almost anywhere.) Not you can walk, run, swim and fly (yes, fly) all over Venice and its neighboring towns. Blending in with crouds is easier too. No more do you have to find a group of wandering monks, now you can ask someone to create a diversion, and they (with some persuasion) will!
And whats Assassin's Creed 2 without fighting?Well, with new enemys comes new moves. For example, now you can headbutt an enemy and take his weapons. Also, Ezio has 2, count um, two hidden blades instead of Altair's one. Just think of the possabilities! Now you can strike from the rooftops, hiding spots, from the water, and from the air. New moves, countermoves, and UPGRADES!!! Thats what I'm talking about.
AC2 will also have plenty of guest stars. The main one is.. (drum roll) Leonardo da Vinci! He will not only give you wicked gadgets, (kinda like James Bond) but he'll be your helper and mentor along the way. Also included are is the Mona Lisa, Pope Alexander VI, and the famous Medici, Sforza, and Pazzi clans. There's even a rumor that money management will be involved, but Ubisoft isnt telling.
And if you ever get tired of killing stuff, (and I know you wont) you can always retire to your estate in Tuscany.
Oh yes, this will be an epic game. I'm definately getting this. You should too. I cant wait for November!
