A few months ago I built a new rig. It performs really well.
System Specs: Thermaltake Armor Case, Asus P5B-Deluxe mobo, 2gb Corsair xms2 ram, Intel e6600@ 3ghz, Tuniq Tower 120, eVGA 320mb 8800 gts@ 621/1998, Enermax Liberty 620wt psu, Seagate 500gb and 320gb hdd's, Razer Tarantula and Copperhead, Dell 2407wfp-HC monitor 
I overclocked both my cpu and video card to the settings above. As a result my 3DMark06 Score went from 8262 to 10225.

Damn nice rig mate. I should also OC a little bit. I got 10,188 3D Marks 06 whit 8800 GTX and E6600, both at stock. I also have same case as you and it really rox, and same PSU.

oh yeah and I got 10k with my X2 4600+ and 8800GTS. I had the X2 4600+ @2.8Ghz, and the 8800GTS @ 660/2160
