"pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, "a factitious word alleged to mean 'a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust found in volcanoes' but occurring chiefly as an instance of a very long word." It was coined to serve as the longest English word. The more general and widely used term for this condition is pneumoconiosis."
pronounced

Most of those I didn't know.

VG cats I haven't seen that one yet.

Did you know VG Cats is Canadian, it's true Scott Ramsoomair lives in Ontario, Canada so do I, he based VG Cats on his 2 cats Leo and Aeris, he also got a kitten who he nick named "Hell with Claws"

@spooksspouse- I can see why that isn't in the dictionary, but it is a chemical name and not a word. I tried searching it in Google and Wikipedia, and they both couldn't handle it, Google even said it was an illegal request
Posted Nov 14, 2007 5:27 pm PT
