So, on a whimsical average day, me and a buddy decided to, uh, jsut randomly go out and buy two PS3s at the same time at the same store. the intent of this act was the purely see the reaction on the clerks faces.
What we got wasn;t exactly what we were expecting.

Walked in, we grabbed 2x 80GB Edition Playstation 3's,
i also bought a copy of Ratchet and Clank

my buddy not oly got the PS3 as well, but Assasins Creed and Uncharted. Two games ive been eagerly anticipating, but we live in the same house as roommates anyways, so we decided to simply switch up every now and then when were done with our respected games.

We got MORE than stellar service behind this. Id like to shout out to Ian at Futureshop, this guy is my own personal jesus christ as he also helped me through a troubling issue regarding a PC version of Call of Duty 4 that jsut wasn;t working out, and let me switch it up for a 360 version.
as we left, the clerk got that surprised "holy piss" look on her face, and Ian shook our hands as we left, with smiles on our faces.

Needless to say it was a night filled with magical bolt collecting, assasinations, and treasure hunting.

i look forward to @Home, playing Uncharted till i beat it, and i look forward to GTA4, DMC4, and MGS4 (hmm.. too many 4's) which despite some Multi-platform, these will find a home on my PS3.

Ive boiled it down now:

If i want a great multiplayer experience, ill buy it for my Xbox 360
if i want nostalgia, ill buy it on Xbox Live Arcade if i cant find it on my respective oldschool systems
If i want rich singleplayer experience, ill get it for PS3
If it once belonged as an exclusive on a particular brand, itll stay there with me (Devil May Cry on Xbox? pfft)
if i want to be apart of a mod community: ill buy it for PC
If i want precision aiming: ill buy it for PC
if i want top-notch high end graphics: im always prepared to upgrade my PC to accomodate

Lots of tiny decisions go into what to purchase each piece of software for what.

But i feel honored to be able to make this decision. i know not alot of people can afford these 3 systems.

Oh ya... the Wii is neat. but not my cup o' tea. Galaxy was cool though.

How long has it been since i last posted here? A year? God time flies.

I no longer really have a personal blog anymore but i think i may just start using this one. So anyways, blog time!

Whats on my list of things to buy:
1 Ubisofts Assassins Creed, X360
2 Biowares Mass Effect, X360
3 Infinity Wards Call of Duty 4, PC
4 Sonys Playstation 3 80GB
5 Naughty Dogs Uncharted Drakes Fortune, PS3
6 Insomniacs Ratchet and Clank: Future Weapons, PS3

These are the games im most hyped about that either are released or are very close to

Other ones im psyching up for:
1 EA's Army of Two, X360
2 IO Interactives Kane & Lynch
3 Bizarre Creations The Club
4 Midway Austin's Blacksite Area:51
5 Harmonix's Rock Band

These are games that im pretty psyched over, but still question whether i want to fork the cash over personally. When i decide to buy a game, it must have something that directlly appeals. I simply dont have as much time as i used to for playing video games so i want to make sure IM entertained, and not because everyone in the world likes it qualifies for that either. Take for instance, Gears Of War, amazing game, but eh, doesn;t necessarily find a place in my home. Something about it didn;t make me run out to preorder quickly. Ive been playing my DS alot lately too, as im always on the go so its only natural. Renegade Kids Dementium The Ward surpassed my expectations SO much that i had to pimp the game out to as many people as possible. I hope i helped sales because this truly is an amazingly high quality DS game.
And to all those who gripe about the save system, im not sure what else you want? Dementium is meant to be a careful horror game to crawl under the skin, what happens to the horror and suspense if they simply allowed you to save anywhere? Theres too many doors to warrant a Door-To-Door checkpoint systemn, so the chapter checkpoint system makes the most sense for what it is. Plus its a handheld, if you have somewhere to be, take it along with you. This isn't a speedrun game. Its not supposed to be. Ive also been playing Phoenix Wright, Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Sonic Rush Adventure, etc etc etc. Theres so many and i wish i ahd the time to review them all, but i dont The ones i listed here, are especially good, and get a nice solide 9.0 from me. (and i dont even like Zelda games)

My latest purchase has definitely been my favorite however, and thats The Orange Box on the PC. Something about getting 5 games for the price of 1 seems like an excellent deal to me.
Portal is outstanding, if you dont like this game your obviously stupid and cant figure out the first puzzle probably
Half Life 2 Episode 2 is the perfect episode length, its too bad we had to wait this long for it though, but for what it is, its excellent
Team Fortress 2 is simply put: freakin amazing. I cant even remember what i found fun in CSS, im not going to lie.
Episode 1 is also alot of fun, but i didn;t appreciate running around with the gravity gun the majority of the time. I literally was about ready to ditch the game just before it gave me my regular weapons back. But overall, really nice
and of course, Half-Life 2 is simply jsut an amazing game by itself.

Now ive played HL2 and Episode 1 prior to the orange box, but allowing me to simply give these away as gifts (for under the table cash ) gets an automatic letter grade upgrade.

Overall
The Orange Box: 9.7, my only gripes are:
1. Lack of an instruction manual. I used to LOVE reading these things, why have they died out? -0.1
2. SourceSDK. The tools are simply horrid, and ive been using them since HL2MP was released, DOS based and no documentation. Not only that but they only recently updated the SDK to work with Portal and TF2 (as well as HL2Ep2, so we finally get to play with the new engine upgrades definitely, which is a plus from absolute doom). -0.2.

The SourceSDK actually got me to minute 3 points in total, but since the update to allow TF2 and Portal maps, has increased it back to just -0.2.

Im going to stop typing now because i really could just go on for days. But im not,

so good night guys!

Ill be the first to admit, I’m not a biggest fan of the Sims, or Willie-Boy Wright for that matter. I don’t doubt his creative genius I just found his 'simulation of real life' design idea a tad on the boring side. Now in a virtual life I can get a job and try not to be late...oh crap I forgot, I need to be at work today! *runs*

So when I first heard about Spore, I was skeptical, not only was real life boring enough to simulate, but the evolutionary chain? Come on. However lately I've been noticing a few more tidbits around that about Spore that make it seem more interesting. Such as Scott Ramsoomair from VGCats, who keeps getting that same comic he made about Spore, being realized in real life. Including the new physical toys of the creatures he made up by drawings, on his doorstep, yes even the butt-For-Eyes one. Amazing stuff this game will be.

Which also raises another thing. There is always one game at the least that everyone knows is going to be epic. And no I'm not talking about Epic games though the Unreal3 engine does look pretty hot right now. I’m talking about a game like Spore, a game that once it comes out, no question about it, its going to be an instant hit and instantly impact the shower and social schedules of nearly everyone in the world.
Halo2 anyone? Game to me is a bit of a bore but I’m not going to deny that it was indeed one of those instant hits and everyone knows about Halo, right?

Indeed.

So I’m quite stoked about the Reservoir Dogs game coming out for Cur-Gen systems. It looks like allot of fun to play even it if is just a mimic of your basic third person shooter. I’m just glad they managed to get Michael Madsen to replay his role in it.
What’s that? Oh ya to those who know me, yeah your right, I haven’t see this groundbreaking film by Quinten Tarantino(sp?), and I also know its a crying shame that I haven’t seen Full metal Jacket by Stanley Kubric. ok fanboys settle down with the torch and pitchforks. I just simply never got a chance, I do actually want to see these movies, as their originals, not clichéd like today’s media.
Anyways like I was saying, I’m pretty stoked about it, cinematography looks great (especially since it looks like a faithful adaptation from the film)

I am also quite stoked to get my hands on the NextGen sonic title by SEGA. Being a long term Sonic fan and SEGA fanboy all around, to me, its going to be an 'instant hit', maybe not the same story for everyone, but to me it’ll be one. It does look like fun, and I hope that this game will be cool enough for everyone who is skeptical about the series, or is emotionally scarred by Sonic Heroes and Shadow the hedgehog, to give it another chance to flourish. Sonic NEEDS the NextGen technology. He and his comrades are to curvy for their own good, its the nature of the art style, and now with nextgen technology and years of experience, SEGA could actually have a great sonic game again, and rekindle allot of lost faith. Even with Sonics new Wii game (Sonic and the secret of the rings, I think its called now, used to be "WildFire')

I’m also into the new technology scene. I’m into the XNA scene specifically. I’m learning C#, from scratch, to be able to create my own games for the XBox360 and Windows Vista (and XP). I’m right now learning how to move a laser beam across the screen every time the spacebar is hit, from the ships position that’s controlled by the player. Bit of a retarded road bump if you ask me, but its all a learning process, I’m not really a programmer. I’m a scripter/3d artist.

If your interested in learning more about XNA, go to www.microsoft.com/xna and be forewarned, the first 2d Naruto game I see, I personally fly over to their house and kick their face in. With a shoe. A...rusty shoe.

Its only too bad that he took his career into a more serious note. Its truly a damn shame. Classic roles of Ace ventura, Fletcher Reede, and Bruce Nolan, and his time on 'In Living Color' truly set who he is. But with roles lately such as the...
