GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

Full story can be found here on GS.

I wasn't planning on playing it until there was a PC version, but these delays, sometimes repeated delays are becoming more like a rule rather than an exception.

I know games are getting "bigger" in all possible ways, but in the end the waiting time between releases of any series is becoming a showstopper.

We all know the most dramatic stories, things like Duke Nukem Forever and TF2, but in general we often have to wait 3, 4, 5 years or more for a sequel to our beloved games.

It's just to much isn't it?

As I've written countless times before, the episodic approach seems even worse. We get a demo of a game, but these demos or episodes are still years apart.

In the end, it seems to me that this scene needs some able project leaders. Any volunteers?

Episodic content is a big fail. Valve proved that bigtime. Holy cow.. I'm not gonna play GTA other than a PC either, I just can't imagine how I'd play it on a console with auto aim .. ugh

DJ thanks for your earlier message

Not a fan of episodic content, much like a 2 hour demo. I want to play the game start to finish without feeling some kind of limitation. Yeah it is delays galore now but complexity and cost have shot up while the teams are probably the same size to reduce overheads. Not only that they never get a chance to complete the game because the publisher is rushing them to release. Pfft.

The best (worst) example there I've personally come across in recent years was KOTOR 2. A lackluster sequel to a great game that was at best 70% done when it was released.

If we have to choose, obviously we will choose delays rather than getting unfished releases.
