Well, the past two days have brought about two major events in regards to the college admissions process. Yesterday, I had an interview for Columbia (School of Engineering) in Boston, and I;d say that it went well. Columbia is probably my first choice school, so I was glad I got an interview. I am not pretending that this means I have a great shot at getting in, as after all, last year the School of Engineering let in a record 17.6%. But, I don't think they'd bother giving me an interview if I had no shot at getting in, so I am being very cautiously optimistic here. (The thing that did suck about this interview was that I had to go into Boston for it and that is about an hour ride, even under best conditions.)
And today, I got one admissions decision. I found out that I was accepted into Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which does not surprise me. (Kind of funny, I could tell from the second I saw the letter titled "admissions decision" that I was in, as it was pretty big and lots of stuff in it. I doubt they would have sent all that stuff if they rejected me, lol.) WPI is probably my fourth or fifth choice school, but it is nice to know I am into at least one in case everything else goes wrong.
Well, now all there is left to do is wait for more possible interview requests, or if not, then more admissions decisions.

I remember those days, fortunately we have a type of system here where you apply for all the schools you want to go to through ONE organization and then you get ONE letter back telling you which schools you got into (I got into my first pick ^.^).
So... ehm, the wait was probably not as stretched out and nerve-racking for me.
Btw did you apply to WashU? That'd be pretty crazy if we ended up at the same school.
Travo- Thanks.
Yagr- yeah it can. But its better than doing all the applications.
Doc- Thanks. And I hope you get into whatever school you apply to as well.
Hungry- That sounds nice.... I had to fill out multiple applications and send things in to multilpe colleges, which was a real pain. Doing everthing through one organization sure would be nice....
kcwsk- Best of luck in your interview.
guitarman- Yeah, I applied. I am not sure where WashU falls on my list though.

Well, I wish you luck. I'm currently waiting on some Uni applications myself so We'll hopefully get lucky
