That's how long it has been since the Phillies last won a World Championship. It ended last night. I was a young kid when they lost in '93, and though the pain of that loss may never be dulled, this certainly helps some of it. 100 seasons of Philadelphia futility are finally over.

So it's off to a good start, 1-0 Phillies after the 3-2 win last night. I'm really pumped about their chances in this, but I remember 1993 too clearly. That was the last time they made a World Series, and then lost to the Blue Jays. So my hope's are high for this series, though I'm a bit worried about Myers tonight.

Phillies win the NL east, and the only reason I'm under control over this is that it happened last year. They proceeded to get embarrassed by the Rockies, so hopefully this year will be different. Also, we at Alabama picked up a huge win in Georgia tonight, so hopefully we'll be number 3 by the next AP polls.
