Last night I signed on to XBL later in the evening. Everybody was playing different things, didn't really see any group of people playing any one particular game together. So I popped in my trusty copy of COD4 and met up with two other freinds from the COD4 league. While the two guys I was gaming with were decent fellows (I should hope so, they're both on my friends list) it seems that every lobby we go in to was chuck full of little kids or young teens that were so filled with anger it was frightening.

I don't remember the gamertags, but they are on perma-mute should I ever run into those fools again. This one kid must've forgotten his ADD meds for the night because he was constantly talking. It didn't matter what he was talking about, just that he was talking. He spent 10 min just talking about why he loved onion rings. His voice was so annoyingly loud that you couldn't hear any other team mates over him until he was muted. Once Onion ring boy was muted by everyone on the team he stayed in the lobby until he got put on the other team. That team wound up getting so upset at the kid they team killed him so much he left match before it ended.

The next kid couldn't of been older than 8 years old. This kid had sever anger issues. He too didn't shut up, however this kid babbled like a brooke about how his gun was awesome and nobody could beat him and he was the best player at this game but GOW was so much better and he's in the top 10 players for that game and on and on and on with a steady stream of verbal diareaha. When he got killed though, this kid would growl and hiss and throw a fit. One time I swear it sounded like he threw his controller and headset across the room.

After only an hour I couldn't take it anymore and had to get offline. Playing with these types of people had me at my wits end. I was reminded then and there why I joined the MGU. I joined Mature Gamers Unite to help avoid those exact situations I'd just been in. I remember why I rarely go off and play an online game by my lonesome...because every game has those types of people in it. They are unavoidable no matter where you go, and ruining the fun for everybody.

For those of you that aren't in the MGU or don't even know what the MGU is. It is the only Union I belong to on this site. It is called, Mature Gamers Unite. The name says it all, and I'm glad I found it for I've met several great gaming buddies and have had many a great time with that group. Thanks for being there MGU. I owe ya a beer.

Yes, I know I'm EXTREMELY late in getting this video up...but with me being out of town on business trips, then this site redesigning itself to the point of figuring out how to get video into your blog is a quest all on it's own.... so here it is, the game highlights of our matches from 8-1-08

and a special thanks to PLZKLLME0080 for making available the work around to getting videos in blogs working again.

EDIT: I actually spoke with a GS mod on this topic. Here's what happened. The game itself is flagged as M. Therefore all videos of the gameplay for Shadowrun are also considered M. Thus, the reason why when downloaded (as opposed to a simple link) it needs to be re-tagged as Mature Content. Good rule of thumb to follow, is if the game is rated M, mark any and all vids for it that you have as M also.

It was bound to happen. No matter how clean I try to keep my forum posts and my blogs. No matter how straight forward and honest about something I try to be. I was moderated. Not over something like offensive language, rude behavior or even lewd pictures. Nope. I got moderated for not labeling the Shadowrun gameplay footage a couple blogs down as "Mature Content". I got that footage right here from Gamespot itself AND THEY DON'T EVEN LABEL AS MATURE CONTENT on the official GameSpot page.

I don't know if somebody clicked the "Report for Abuse" to be funny or cute or vindictive or what...whatever the reason it is quite lame. Only a half retarded cancerous monkey would report that for containing Mature Content. Here's what I think should happen, or should be done to help enhance these self policing type systems that this site and other sites as well as XBL use. If somebody reports a person for bogus reasons, then the person who did the reporting should suffer the consequences for LYING.

That's right...it sure is easy to click that Report Abuse button just cuz you don't like somebody or what they have to say. You don't care about what happens to them, you just wanna stick it to them cuz your mad or upset. BUT how often do you think people would do the revenge report if they knew THEY would get in trouble if they were found to be falsely reporting a person. I think much of the bogus reported abuse would just vanish.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like CptObvious1031.
CptObvious1031 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could CptObvious1031 possibly have for not rating a single film?
