The Gaming World of Lemi

Kelley is old news, cheated on me... for all the games I exposed to her, I only lost her to another man... or something poetic like that... Beautifully though, I've fallen in love, not just like; as I did kelley, with an Irish Red Head, named Alexis, who games with me almost constantly, and loves to watch me play silent hill; she indulges in clinging to me in the darker parts of the game, and I certainly can't complain.
This is a gaming journal though, if you want to see my real journal go t o http://livejournal.com/users/Cpt_Lemi
I come here to rant a little bit: A while back I was a big fan of Medal of Honor, absolutely crazy about the game, and I have to admit, I still like the games, and the principles, but I've since unistalled the titles, and am preparing to sell them via E-Bay. Why would I sell my favorite title next to Silent Hill you say? Well, it's simple... for Christmas I recieved Pacific Assault, a game I had looked forward to since the first medal of honor title for PS1. I had seen rising sun, and thus far was anxious to see EA redeem itself with a decent Pacific theatre game, based more on squad action such as the case with Call of Duty, and more recently, Brothers In Arms. However; the game didn't work right, it would black out during the painfully slow loading screens.... you could here the game running, and with CTRL+ALT+DEL you could restore the window, just in time to save yourself from getting blasted. After much diliberation, we could determine no reason for such inadequacies... on an ATI 9200 and a Pentium 4. I have a 2.4 gHz processor and 512 in ram... 120 GB of raw memory, so I would imagine the computer was more then up to Par. My first insitnct then was to take the game back; but first a note to the experince that I did endure while playing with out the CTRL+ALT+DEL madness. No denying the fact, the game looked sexy as hell, but the controls were nothing like that of the original Medal of Honor... now, notably, my graphics card was for Half Life 2, but I hate it when companies release sequels or titles in a series for computers that no one has. For Pacifiic assault to run smoothly, you need one hell of a Machine....
ANYWAYS, I read on many forums, including EA's own, that this "glitch" was only subject to me, but a whole multitude of people... it was in reading their complaints, and grievances, I slowly came to agree with the fact, EA cared more about producing a hard profit of this game then the quality itself. In all, I never took back the game, having detested EA after hearing the tried to SUE the original 22 members that left to form Inifinity Ward, the producer of Call of Duty... o how I love those guys, especially Mr. Zampella, who I met. After trading in the game for some cash, and buying Half Life 2, I watched as EA started it's mad hunt to buy out every company that produced a war game threatening Medal of Honor. Ubisoft was the most recent I saw to go, and I suspect it's over Brothers in Arms... EA has lowered the bar to Monopoly, which sadly is how business works... so I watch as an great game company goes empire, and takes the quality of games to crap levels, because we're forced to buy from them... for this I applaud activision for staying strong, and even though they co-own infinity ward, they in a way protect them from EA. EA has gone on a rampage of purchases, with cavilier new employees and fresh from college programers, it's my best bet that soon this giant will come toppling down if gamers every where follow my word, and the word of others...
BOYCOTT EA!
so far to assist in this I've unistalled every EA game I've owned, and refuse to purchase anymore. I will have Brothers in Arms, as it was still Ubisoft. I have removed All the battlefield games, medal of honors, and though I hear BF2 will be great, I refuse to purchase it. EA can't buy our hearts, fight the giant today!

It's almost a shame I have Kelley, otherwise I may have just fallen in love all over again~
Call of Duty United Offensive was the first thing I purchased with last week's pay check, and I'm not sure I've been to work since. The game is fantastic follow up to it's original counter-part, which sadly, wasn't quite as good. We've all heard the reviews about the multi-player levels, and how it's Battle Field meets Call of Duty, well all those reviews can't properly express just how good the multi-player is. Yes indeed you have your vehicles like BF and there is a game scenario called Domination that has the same capture the flag basis as Battlefield, but there are a few essentials to COD that Battlefield Lacked.
Base Assault, a scenario in which you must protect 3 bunkers, and destroy 3 more... get down inside the rubble, plant a bomb in the basement, and escape and protect the bomb... This is my favorite game type, you tend to find a lot of servers packed with 20+ people playing this one, tanks and vehicles are a must have to decimate the bunkers, and of course, any one attacking yours.
Capture the Flag- Take the Flag, run away, protect yours... very run of the mill
Team Death match... run of the mill kill the other team... except with tanks!
Death Match- Basic free for all
Behind Enemy Lines- steal the enemy's crap while they protect it, or plant some bombs and make stuff go BOOM!
Head Quaters- Capture the radio and hold it
It has everything the first game had, and more, including portable Light machine guns, like the 30. cal. Bazookas we're introduced, but Unlink MOH, you can't start off with one, you have to find it, and even then, I haven't see it used as a p****y weapon. And of course, the russian SVT-40 rifle... although I think its TVT with out the scope, and the German G-43 have been introduced... *amazing how similar they look* The british didn't get anything new, poor chaps, but there is one weapon that still remains cooler then anything else, the even MOH has been a little delayed on releasing... The Flame Thrower.... o yes
Fire in the morning
Fire in the evening
Fire at supper Time!!!
The Single Player missions were outstanding as well, and your squad proves some what more competent this time around. It's not all exactly historically accurate, and some of the things you can accomplish *B-17 level* are outrageous, but it's still a lot of fun. However, if this game was to market itself via advertisements, I'd specify and focus most of the attention on the multi-player... which to date, blows away most any other game I've played... and yes, that includes Unreal...

:*( So maybe I'm a sucker for getting a few head shots~
I haven't had much time to spend with my beautiful Kelley lately, and with school canceled because of the hurricanes I find myself either working or playing a video game. I've taken up Call of Duty again, prepping myself for the release of the expansion pack "Untied Offensive". I find a lot of time to just browse servers, and randomly kill people to relieve boredom. COD has really been great to me, and I find the multiplayer is tolerable when it's down to a few people working together. I've seen some pretty intense fighting going on, and I'm most fond of that type of play. However, my punk buster is really quite F**ked up, so I can only play on a select few servers, so there are those occasional fueds where all the cheaters go one side and everyone else huddles in a bunker starved by fear. The point of the matter is not so much the intensity of the moments, but I need some where to vent my anger to all the MG and SMG weilding f**ks of the world. The Tommy Gun, the Sten Gun, and the PPSH seem to be the hardest gun to oppose. I'm a rifler, and I hardly ever part from MY m1 garand or KAR98 unless of course I play as another nation. I just find the fire rates of ww2 SMG's that can out shoot present day automatic rifles and such most irritating. Ecspecially the bunny hoppers who indulge in using them. It's tolerable when you've got maybe 1 or 2 mgs to a team a sniper and the rest rifles but when its 30 guys blazing around with Mg's ... what a god da**ed cluster F**K... I suppose I'm old school... there should be more servers modding the limits on weapons... Max 2 SMgs... 1 mg and 1 sniper the rest rifles... a little more real... Mg's even get tiring in this massive cross field fire fights I so commonly find my way blasting out of... all and all though, I'm pretty damned good with a rifle, I have screens to prove it, if only I could post them, and my personal site is short of room to do such....
HOWEVER!!!!! thats all aside the point... I just got owned by about 6 mgs mother F***ERSand I needed to vent

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Cpt-Lemi.
Cpt-Lemi must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Cpt-Lemi possibly have for not rating a single film?
