It was so amazing and lucky! I was exploring around the Survival Area on Route 226, when I thought I'd go fishing for some Gyarados and Seadra, so I go to the nearest source of water.
The first pokemon I got was a lvl 37 male Seadra (which I caught), then a lvl 32 Seadra. I then reeled in a Gyarados and another Seadra. I then swung out my Super Rod again and guess what I reeled in? A Shiny Seadra! (lvl 32 male) I couldn't believe my luck! I'd only found three of these pokemon before and I hadn't even used the Pokeradar!
I was so happy that my first Shiny happened to be from fishing, I doubt that happens much. Also, I don't really do well with the radar anyway, my highest chain is 25 Ponyta. I suppose I haven't had it that long, but I'm improving. Anyway, I'll go and see if I can find any more beautiful Shinies!

see? getting shiny pokemon the hard way is much more rewarding. i have my precious shiny rayquaza(got it in emerald) and it is an adamant nature too!! can u believe my luck? well congrats ive never gotten a shiny by fishing but i still have a shiny zubat too lol

The only shiny pokemon I faced against was three in Sapphire, and one of them got away. 
I'm assuming you're talking about D/P, so I guess you were really lucky.

That's really lucky! Congrats! Hope you catch more and keep posting when you catch more saying which pokemon it was. And again congrats!

It's a device in Diamond and Pearl that allows you to find a patch of grass with a pokemon in it. Once you've encontered the pokemon in that patch of grass, you have to either knock it out or catch it. After that, more patches of grass shake. You have to find the same pokemon to continue a chain. The longer the chain, the greater the chance of a shiny pokemon appearing. What was unusual about my first shiny catch was that I didn't have a chain going before I found my shiny Seadra, and because I was fishing (which is even more unlikely for a shiny to appear).

Congrats Dude. Lol yesterday I came across a shiny magmar in Stark Mountain, but didn't have any Poke Balls. Dang.

I'm slowly looking for a Shiny Gyarados. Incredibly rare, but worth the effort.

Cheers. I'm now breeding my Seadra with a ditto to try and get some shiny Horsea, so far I've hatched two normal Horsea, I'm half way to hatching a third egg and they've produced another one aswell. Hopefully I'll get one soon, then I could either keep it or trade it.

congrats me boy! me bro caught a shiny zubat at the very begining of game! but he erased his game before he gave it to me! damn! also should i buy diamond? o and its mugen i was banned so i stole my buds account, so anybody please track me everyone my friend had for a friend is banned, including me!!!!!

cornish even when u breed shinies the probability and possibility of the offspring being shiny is the same as finding a shiny pokemon in the wild: 1/1000

My FC is at the top of my blog. I don't mind the odds of getting a shiny while breeding. I was lucky enough to find that Seadra, so luck might procure a shiny Horsea.

Congrats! You know that you can't even use the PokeRadar in water. Only in grass. In my brother's Pearl I caught a Shiny Golbat at Lvl 46 (Male) in Mt. Coronet before the Elite Four.
