This November is arguably the most exiting month of gaming in many years. There is a huge amount of new games coming our way for several consoles as well as the PC. 2007 has been a great year for gamers. It may have been a little slow at times, but there has been a whole lot of good games released.

This upcoming month wont be a slacker either with a whole lot of new games coming our way.

Here is a list of the most hyped and best looking games. Make sure to check them out, further down you can find even more titles coming, I have left out several less known games because if I where to list them all November would be over before I was done...


Mass Effect

Genre: Action Role-Playing
Breif Explination:My note: Probably the best RPG to come out in years, maybe ever. From GS: In a diverse interstellar society, you must overcome other species' distrust of humans and battle a force that threatens to end all life.


Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS
Genre: Modern First-Person Shooter
Breif Explination: This game looks to be one of the best FPS of the year, make sure to check out the Gamespot PC Demo. From GS: The venerable Call of Duty series leaves its familiar WWII battlefields behind to tackle warfare in a modern setting.


Crysis

Genre: Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter
Breif Explination: This is the most anticipated PC game of the year, which aims to push graphics and gameplay to a whole new level and will force most people to invest in new hardware if they want to max out the graphics. From GS: Crysis is a Sci-Fi FPS game for the PC, where mankind must struggle to survive in the face of an alien invasion.


Super Mario Galaxy

Breif Explination: From GS: Super Mario Galaxy is a new Mario game from creator Shigeru Miyamoto for the Nintendo Wii.


Assassin's Creed

Breif Explination: From GS: The first game in the Assassin's Creed franchise is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart.


Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Breif Explination: From GS: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is a third person action game that features co-op play with squad tactics. | It also has some very interesting Multiplayer which you can read about in the previews.


Haze

Breif Explination: This is one of the major games coming out for the PS3 this year, don't miss it. From GS: Haze is a first-person shooter from the developers of Timesplitters, where things look set to get very strange very quickly.


Unreal Tournament 3

Breif Explination: From GS: Unreal Tournament 3 is the next installment in Epic Games' popular sci-fi shooter series.


Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Breif Explination: From GS: This new game from Naughty Dog features jungle adventures in a Pitfall-esque setting.


Rock Band

Genre: Rhythm / Music
Breif Explination: From GS: Rock out with your friends as you perform music from the world's biggest rock artists using drum, bass, lead guitar, and microphone peripherals.


Gears of War (PC)

Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, MAC (This game came out on Xbox 360 last year. It got 9.6 on Gamespot and won GOTY)
Genre: Sci-Fi Shooter
Breif Explination: From GS: Gears of War heads to the PC with five new campaign missions, new multiplayer modes, and more.


Army of Two

Breif Explination: From GS: EA's new next-gen action game features an emphasis on co-operative tactics - either with a friend or using an AI partner.


Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Genre: Action
Breif Explination: It was pointed out to me that this game deserves a spot up here for it's hype surrounding the use of the Wiimote to control your lightsaber. From GS: Play through all six Star Wars movies in this mash-up of Lego Star Wars I & II.

As promised in my earlier blog (which I'm sure no one read), this blog will discuss my game collection, if you read it please comment, please let me knwo what you think or add your own collection, but please keep any critisims constructive.

I am very new to blogging so we will have to see how this goes.

Not long ago I recieved my "Serious Collection" Emblem, even though I should have gotten it a ot earlier I didn't simply because I add my games on the list from memory, as I don't feel like searching old stored boxes full of old PC and N64 games.

Upon writing this my collection features 212 games, all of which I've either bought or recieved as Christmas/Birthday presents, there is still a few games not present as I started adding them late and there is always some I forget, or some which is not even included in the GameSpot library.

I have games spanding over 9 platforms, some of which are handhelds, I have not added any of my 30-50 Gameboy Color games which I received as a present a long time ago, partly because most of them aren't very good, and because I stored them away and I really don't feel like searching for them.

The consoles I currently own is a Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii and while not really a console, I own a PC.

I also have a Nintendo Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced SP, I used to have the regular Advanced, but I lost it in the 2004, Tsunami.

My favorite console at the moment is the 360, while I can't deny all the good years I've had with my PS2 I still prefer the 360.
The Wii is also very entertaining, but the lack of a Network adapter and more good games makes it a dust collector at the moment.

I started my game collection back when I first bought my Nintendo 64, but back then games for the console (atleast in Norway) was VERY expensive, so expensive in fact that the kid I was at the time could only afford to buy one or two games a year. The gams usually cost 120-140 dollars each, and back then that was a lot more money than it is now, not to mention the fact that I was so young I couldn't even read English.

Back then I had no plans on starting a game collection, I had more than enough with the few games I owned at the time.

It was not until I got my Playstation 2 in early 2001 that I started something which could turn into a semi-impressive collection, atleast amongst my friends and family.

I really enjoy playing games and I spend most my time and money on exactly that, so the games started racking up and by the end of the Playstation 2 days (which aparantly is starting back up again with GoW2 and FFXIII) I had almost 60 PS2 games in my collection, along with PC and other games racking up about 180total games.

I've never bought a game just to add another number to my collection though, while many of the games I've bought have been straigt out horrible, unplayable and worthless I have bought them with the intention of spending time playing them, but should the game turn out to be a waste of time atleast I had another title to my collection.

I am always willing to give a game a chance, and I've never regretted buying any (short of a few MMORPG's and a couple of major dissapointments) game. I don't really care about having a lot of money, which is probably a result of how I grew up, not having to worry about food or shelter and always having a family which provided all I needed, and they still do. So I can be completely reckless and blow all my money on something I know nothing about, and still get by just fine, I'll have more money once my next paycheck arrives, so whats the big deal...

As I said, my collection is something I'm proud of, and every title added feels like a small accomplishment, I currently have no pictures to show you, but maybe I will later.
