The other day I posted 40 of my top games ever. To continue and end my list, here are the Top Ten. I hope you all agree and, if not, I'd love to hear your comments. Enjoy.
#10-Super Mario RPG: Legend of The Seven Stars (SNES)
-The unlikely partnership of Squaresoft and Nintendo gave birth to one of the finest games on the SNES and one of the most memorable RPGs to most gamers. Though this game really didn't do anything different that RPGs before it hadn't done, it was a break away from the usual jumping platformer of Mario.-
#9-Star Craft (PC)
-Oh, what to say about this game. How about one of the most addictive, most obsessive, most aggrivatingly superb it is game on the PC? That pretty much sums it up.-
#8-Final Fantasy VII (PS)
-People love this game. That's just plain obvious. Cloud and Sephirth are probably some of the most memorable characters, not only in Final Fantasy games but, video gaming history. This RPG brough the world of FF into 3D and brought a new experience to our hearts.-
#7-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
-Proved that Zelda is, and forever will be, simply awesome. The slick graphics, great sound, lengthy adventure and tons of items kept many of gamer up until 4 in the morning.-
#6-Soul Calibur (DC)
-Gave us what we know as the fighting game nowadays. Responsive controls, revitalizing the three-button combo and someof the best graphics seen on the Dreamcast. Perfection on the failed console.-
#5-Super Metroid (SNES)
-This is the game where you are traveling around, getting items, defeating bosees... but you don't actually know why you are doing it. At least every other game gave you the slightest idea of why you were beating things up. But not this game. Yet somehow you felt oddly inclinded to do it anyway.-
#4-Tetris (NES)
-This game has addicted almost anyone that came into contact with it. 4 connected bblocks, one screen, constant falling and twisting and turning to fit right into the corner that you can almost reach. Highly addictive and never gets old. The Grandfather of stradegy gaming.-
#3-Super Mario 64 (N64)
-Gave us the platformer of the 3-dimensional world. Huge worlds. Tons of enemies. Over 100 stars to collect. And not a minute of boredom to be found here.-
#2-Super Mario Bros. (NES)
-Nintendo's original masterpiece. Run, jump, pounce and warp through this classic as you attempt to free the princess from the evil King Koopa. Oh, and Luigi is there, too.. not that anyone cared. But, with such addictive gameplay and many secrets to behold, who really cares what the other brother is doing?-
#1-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
-The best game ever created as far as I am concerned. Intuitive controls, sleek style, many itmes, horeback riding, wall climbing, arrow shooting, sword slashing, music playing, shopping, large maps, hard temples, memorable boss fights, bothersome fairy and everything else you ever wanted is right here in OoT. Never before had a game accomplushed so much. And since then, no game has quite lived up to its name. Simply put, as perfect as a game is going to get.-
