Well, I haven't updated THIS in awhile. But one of the things it seems appropriate to do here is talk about the shows one particularly enjoys, so I'm going to take a minute to talk about... Good Eats.

To me, cooking shows aren't that much fun to watch. But Alton Brown has crafted an exception in Good Eats. He explains how to make delicious meals (I've made a number of them) AND he explains the scientific underpinning. That information helps cooks figure out what they can change and how it will affect the recipe. Cooks armed with this knowledge can foster secret family recipes!
