I've suffered through the bugs, including the ones that don't stay stomped. I've suffered through long period where contributions don't get acknowledged. I've had contributions rejected, only to mysteriously appear word for word - an bad editor claiming credit for my work. The first time that happened I just stopped submitting to that guide. I've watched good editors and contributors leave, and get replaced by less capable individuals. It's demoralizing.
Doing this kind of work is supposed to be fun. It's not fun here any longer; I think it's time to try another site.

Well, I haven't updated THIS in awhile. But one of the things it seems appropriate to do here is talk about the shows one particularly enjoys, so I'm going to take a minute to talk about... Good Eats.
To me, cooking shows aren't that much fun to watch. But Alton Brown has crafted an exception in Good Eats. He explains how to make delicious meals (I've made a number of them) AND he explains the scientific underpinning. That information helps cooks figure out what they can change and how it will affect the recipe. Cooks armed with this knowledge can foster secret family recipes!
Give Good Eats a try. You'll find it on FoodTV every evening at 7:00pm; new episodes generally air Wednesdays at 10:00pm.

... you were right. I never jumped on this show when it got started, despite recommendations. And despite being a strong Trek and B5 fan. But since I decided to dip my toe in the Netflix waters (insert here the sound of a fish being reeled in), I figured I'd check out season 1. And I liked it. A lot. The pilot movie started strong, and "The Enemy Within" (where have I heard that title before) continued. I was less thrilled with "Emancipation". But I will definitely be pulling more disks.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like CommanderBalok.
CommanderBalok must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could CommanderBalok possibly have for not rating a single film?
