Well, inspired by passition's "top twenty dogs" list, here's my list of top FIFTY cartoon dogs

1. Pluto (hey, he's one of the few dogs that can take orders from a mouse and still retain his dignity [some times]).

2. Scooby Doo (Hanna-Barbera's top dog DEFINITELY has to be on this list)

3. Barnyard Dawg  (this LT canine is another must have on my list)

4-7. (four way tie, actually, but let's not split hairs) Krypto the Superdog, Ace the Bat Hound, Brainy Barker and Tusky Husky (come on, you think I wouldn't put K-Dog and his friends pretty high on this list)?

8. Scrappy Doo (Scooby Doo [what can I say, I'm one of the extremely few Scooby fans who DOESN'T hate Scrappy])

9. Runt (Animaniacs [he might be a bit thick-skulled at times, but his loyalty to Rita is always touching and he has saved Rita's life more than once])
