If you've been to NYC, please recommend a game store to me! @princesszelda, I know you recently wrote about the Nintendo store - I have yet to go there.

I met up with Austin (MrChup0n) the last time I was in NYC with my fiancee. We went to the Nintendo World Store hoping to pick up Mario and Peach statuettes for our wedding cake, but they don't carry them anymore. I got some stuffed Yoshi's, and Legend of Zelda over-the-shoulder bag, and a sweatshirt instead. My fiancee got a Dr. Mario shirt that says "Let's Play Doctor." My favorite t-shirt there was a picture of a fire flower from SMB with text that said "This is why I'm hot."

I've never been to NYC myself.

The only game store I've been to in NYC is the Nintendo store, and it's definitely worth visiting. They have all kinds of Gameboys and DSes on display (including crystal studded ones), and they have neat merch I haven't seen in other places. When I went I got a really cool Wind Waker-style Zelda shirt and a Kirby pin. There's not as much "stuff" as you would expect since they put so many game stations inside it, but the upside of that is you can get controllers from the counter and play some games while on vacation!
And I'll definitely let you know when I'm back on live!

The Nintendo World Store is small but awesome, I got some Mario figurines there, and there's a LOT of memorabilia there to buy. I too got a walk around with MrCHUP0N when I visited last year. I recommend going to the Toys R Us in Times Square too. That thing's pretty neat, there's plenty of cool things to check out there.
You should ask MrCHUP0N about the location of a particularly cool nameless store as well that he took me to, where they had all sorts of old school games - I got to buy Duck Hunt and Blaster Master there, on the cheap.

That place is not bad. They have a lot of interesting and rare items. HOWEVER, they are quite expensive. If you had time, I would drive about 20 minutes into New Jersey and go to the Digital Press Store. I blogged about that store about a year ago, but they have like 20,000 video games and it is a cool place to hang out. How long you going to be in the city?

The City is overrated! You want Strong Island! In all seriousness, I don't go to the City unless for a sporting event. There are plenty of stores out here to keep me satisfied. Good luck though!

The best shirt they sell at the Nintendo World Store is one that says "I (Mario) NY"--just replace the heart you'd usually see on those shirts with Mario's face, and that's the shirt. It doesn't make a damn lick of sense, but it's awesome.

In all my years of living there I came to the conclusion that New York is not the place to really spend money. Everything is too overpriced. As a native New Yorker who moved away the only place I like less than New York is Jersey... and Connecticut. So the tri-state area is a bad zone for Misfit.
I hear good things about the Nintendo Store but that's about it. All the smaller places I used to shop at, where games both old and new were on the cheap, have since either closed or gotten eaten up by FuncoLand and then absorbed into GameStop.

Well, I've visited New York a few times, but was never really looking for game stores when I visited. Sorry I can't help.

Only east coast cities I have spent any time in are Hamilton and Toronto in Ontario.
I did notice you have added Red Ninja: End of Honor to your games, I enjoyed the game a great deal despite it being another where the protagonist made a poor choice of "battle armour"
I also liked that there are not any cheats available and she has the ability to swim, something all too rare in games. I mean how many people do you know that can not swim at all, yet in video games how many of your characters have the ability to take to the water?
