So lately I had feelings for one of my friends. As it turns out, for kicks I went to my Friday football game to see if she'd show up, because even though she has plans, people usually ditch her and she ends up going somewhere else. My gut feeling came through for me. She actually showed up at the game, and I managed to have fun talking to her throughout the entire first half. Then during halftime I told her my feelings toward her.

We talked it over and even my other friend said it was apparant we wouldn't date since she's not ready to, but she understood where I was coming from and she respected that I had actually gotten the courage to tell her, and she respected that I'mactually not a phony like most of all the other kids in our school. After we finished talking things over we joked around again and the second half flew by andwe didn't even pay any attention to the game itself.

Even though we're not dating, we're good friends and funny thing is, because we were alone with no one around us and the fact that we gave each other our numbers before the game ended, people around us might have thought were we dating. So while we're not together, there's always a way I might change her mind, and just as good is that we're even closer friends than before. I guess even if you can't get exactly what you set out for, you can still "win" in the end, eh?

Anyway, thought people that I talked to about this would like to know. Everything is resolved and I'm once again happy and ready to go on with my life.

About 7-8 of my friends are girls. And yet I don't have a girlfriend yet.

@007hawk25: Same here, even more maybe, but most of them are taken. She's one of like 2 that isn't, and the only one I like. Thankfully what she thinks might not be permanent, there's always a chance for change.

@Cloud_765: I was going to ask out a girl (who is one of my close friends), but I think she may be going out with one of my other friends.

@007hawk25: I guess we were in a similar position then.

@Cloud_765: I suppose so.

Sing her a disney song. It'll totally change her mind quicker. I've been on a disney watching spree so forgive me for being random. xD

@soulless4now: I don't think that'll work, but thanks for the idea though.

Oh pooh, at least I tried.

Glad you're happy, Cloud.

I feel happy for you. If only it were the same for me......
Posted Nov 6, 2009 9:46 pm PT
Well that is really very sweet, glad to know that it all turned out really good for you. Even though you are just friends now that is always a great start. Trust me I married the man that I was friends with.

Well, don't go on with your life yet. There is still that "slight" chance that she will be ready. I know that from experience. So, don't give up just yet. I mean, you never know right? And, I'm the same with a lot of people. I have more "girl" friends than guy friends. Yet, I'm lonely as a turtle. I like turtles.

She's not ready? Ach, you will learn, young grasshopper. I'm glad you had fun with her.
Posted Nov 6, 2009 11:58 pm PT
Well, that's definitely a good start.

Well its great that you took the initiative and didn't let it eat you up for too long. I'm in the mood to make a sarcastic comment but I'll let you have this moment Good luck buddy!

Great Job Cloud!

@Spade_Crisis: True, she still could change her mind, there's plenty of time for change. But even if we don't go out at least I'll know we are great friends and that can't be ruined by some relationship.
@Colmillios: That's my goal in life. One is to help others, and the other is to find a girl I can start off as friends with and eventually fall in love with. @JustPlainLucas: She said we'll hang out sometime, and since I don't ditch her, I might grow on her.
@CrimsonMaher: Sarcastic comment? Lemme hear it, I don't think it'll hit me too hard.

@world-ender-49: I guess a lot of schools have Friday football games. @GC4ever: That's what I'm doing right now. Don't wanna ruin anything.
@Legolas1204: It's technically not romance since she isn't willing to date.
