It's November 5th. That usually means it's not so much as cold, but it's cool, and you have to start wearing some jackets. The leaves are abundandtly red, orange, and yellow, and at this point there are more on the ground than there are on the branches.

I live in Massachusetts, which is in the northeastern United States. And for pete's sake, the damn cold is enough to be near late November! It seems to me like the past couple years the season's temperature changes prematurely. I mean I saw frost on the grass one morning at the end of October! The END of OCTOBER! It's not supposed to be that cold that early!

And I recall back a few years ago this wasn't the case. It wasn't half bad out years back. What in the world is causing the air to be so cold around this time of year, and then be way to hot in the summer, and also become too warm when spring barely starts? Anyway, I ironically don't think it's THAT BAD out right now, but it's been comparatively colder quite earlier in the year the past few years.

Worse off is New England whether here. You never know what the hell's gonna happen sometimes. It might be windy as heck, it might be calm as a spring morning. It might actually be freezing one day and hot as an oven the next. So my friend came up with a cutesy and quite fitting motto for the weather/climate here: "New England. If you don't like the weather here, just wait until tomorrow."

I seriously hope that's all it takes, maybe we'll have our first snowfall in a more fitting time, like early December, instead of last year we had our first snowfall at the VERY beginning of November. Uhm... Fall is barely over a month in at that point! Do they need to change the seasons' timespans up or something?

Anyway, that's all for this blog... I'll be over in my kitchen... getting hot cocoa... and maybe snuggling next to the heater with a nice blanket...

Perfect idea for winter, Cloud. Over here there's no four seasons considering it's near the Equator. But when l went to Cameron Highlands, my word l need TWO jackets to keep ME warm. l'm all 'skin and bones' as my father said and l got to admit, he was right about that. l only weigh about 36-38 kilograms

I had frost on my grass in October as well. The dealing with the Windy City.

@koolkat14: What's 36 KG translate into pounds? I wish I was good with the Metric system.
@PolskaKing: True, Chicago I heard can get cold as hell.

Okay, l've check on google and here's how much 1 kg is into pound:
1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds

1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds if you round it up to 3 decimal points

And 36 kg = 79.2 lbs

My word, l never expected THAT. And for someone who's 14 and about 150-160 centimetres, that's pretty light

Massachusetts? Well, I live in Indiana, and I also saw frost on the grass this morning. Although, that's not exactly suprising, considering that the weather over here is a little crazy sometimes. Sometimes, it's 75 degrees in March and sometimes it's 45 degrees in October. In fact, it was only 40 degrees on Halloween.

dont you mean global warming??? and yeah, it seems to be getting colder earlier this year
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:08 pm PT
Yeah... Global Warming is a load of bull****.
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:19 pm PT
@Cloud_765: But Hell is hot...
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:21 pm PT
@koolkat14: Wow, that is light... I mean a lot of girls here weight like 100-120.
@ziki88: Thanks for noticing my typo!
@SoraX64: Maybe, maybe not, but what I do know is the temperature is being wacky lately here in New England. You should know, also, right?

here in Idaho we already have some snow every once and a while
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:40 pm PT
I had a snowstorm here in Denver last week.
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:44 pm PT
Eh, you don't have it as bad out there as we do. There's one rain a year, it's just forever, though we'd been clear most of the week except for a little rain today.

Kansas has some unpredictable weather as well. And there were some rather cold days the other week or so but it's been nice lately. 60s and low 70s very nice. But usually it seems like the first snow flakes have fallen by now... weather is wierd man.

I remember having snow in November not so much anymore. Now we don't have snow until the end of December.
Posted Nov 5, 2009 6:53 pm PT
Wow, sounds cold.
Washington is starting to cool down too, but it doesn't get that bad until early December. I wonder if we're going to have another snow storm this year.

Tell me about it. I live in Southern Ontario, and we'd rarely get snow until late December... Until lately! Last October it snowed over a foot one day, and today, there was hail & snow all in the same day here. I seen some cars in the ditch while I was coming home from work. I'm Canadian so I don't mind the cold whether, but it's been very inconsistent these past few years. I know Global Warming/Climate Change is happening but the way our governments handle environmental issues the planet is scrooed whichever way you look at it. Cheers mate .

I blame the cats.

It is actually still warm down here in the South during the day time but at night it gets around in the 40's. But I just know I never liked the cold in the first place.

Yesterday I thought I was going to die. I had to ride a bicycle home. But it was snowing, dark raining altogether. I'll start using bus service from today on. Riding a bicycle in that kind of whether is suicide.

Posted Nov 6, 2009 1:58 am PT
It's also getting a bit chilly here and we're in the tropics
Posted Nov 6, 2009 2:25 am PT
Yeah... When I can go outside and later come in with the ability to cut glass with my hair, you know it's abnormally cold out abnormally early.
Posted Nov 6, 2009 3:20 am PT
You live in Mass. too? Small world.
Posted Nov 6, 2009 8:09 am PT
I just think it's cold because I live in England, and as such I am never happy with the weather.
Posted Nov 6, 2009 8:11 am PT
It was 75 yesterday, and gonna be 78 today!
Posted Nov 6, 2009 8:46 am PT
Well I blame Global Warming, Last year it wasn't this cold in Ireland
Posted Nov 6, 2009 12:44 pm PT
hey i live in washington its that same way over here
but most of the time i dont mind the cold
Posted Nov 6, 2009 1:47 pm PT
i agree with the weather situation, IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS COLD!

Here outside San Antonio it has been in the mid 70s recently. We had a couple week long cool streak where it was about 70 at midday, and it was pretty windy, making it feel like a good 65 or so. That's cold for here.

It was 95-105 all summer. I loved living in the desert before we moved here. Extremes in temperature, awesome wildlife, and monsoon season.

I don't wear jackets, jeans, or long sleeved shirts. Or at least never because of the temperature. There are occasions you need to dress for, of course.

Most people think it's hot all year round here in Florida. Let me tell you something: It's not. It's sometimes cold, sometimes freezing, and sometimes hot around this time. But, eh, gotta deal, right?
Posted Nov 6, 2009 4:06 pm PT
This summer was surprisingly cool, and I really liked that - it wasn't a hot summer. It was just warm and nice. Previous winters seemed warmer as well, and we haven't been getting as much snow as back in the day, so I figured the seasons were going to do a complete switch on us. Imagine my surprise when it's colder than all hell already. Perhaps this throws my theory straight out the window!
