So, yeah. Haven't been active around here for quite a while now. What's new? Well, a couple things.

First off, HeartGold still hasn't arrived yet. 5-10 business days was the arrival time, and today is the 10th, so... fingers crossed.

Second... I started playing Final Fantasy I and II: Dawn of Souls. I haven't tried FFII yet, but FFI is really good. So far, that makes two Final Fantasy games that I like (1 and 10). I've got a party consisting of a Red Mage, a Warrior (Fighter), a Black Mage, and a Thief. Red Mages are freaking AMAZING. He's hitting just as hard as my Warrior in physical attacks, as hard as my Black Mage in magic, and striking as many times as my Thief. Plus having both black and white magic is invaluable. And he looks so bas@$$ to boot... I just wish he wasn't so damn expensive to keep equipped. 2500 for a spell where I am right now? Bull.

Alright, now... Halo 3: ODST. Possibly my most hyped game of the year (maybe tied with HeartGold, slightly beating out Modern Warfare 2), and I absolutely love everything about this game. $60 USD seems a little steep, and Bungie wanted it t be $30 USD, but Microsoft said NAY. So, we've got $60 for a short Campaign and Firefight... not worth it. Oh, but it also comes with the entire Halo 3 Multiplayer on another disc (Matchmaking, Custom Games, Forge, all the previous DLC maps worth $30 USD, and three new maps worth another $10 USD). So you're pretty much paying $20 USD for Campaign, Firefight, and Halo 3 Multiplayer if you don't count how much the maps would have cost. Quite a deal, when you look at it. Anyways, back to the game itself. Not much to say; it's Halo, polished a little more. AI seems smarter, weapons seem to have been balanced more, and... Firefight. Firefight is simply amazing. Stick up to four people in an area, send waves and waves of Covenant at them, and the fun just makes itself. Kinda like Horde and Nazi Zombies, but much more fun And the skulls turning on keeps it interesting.

That's all for now. Picture here, gonna get around to your blogs soon. See you all later.

My favorite Final Fantasy games are VI and IX. X was pretty meh, I and II were okay.

You're in the ODST mood too, huh? I know Halo's good, but it can't be that good. Even God of War isn't that good. Shame to hear your HG hasn't arrived yet, though.. Hopefully it'll be there early next week! I haven't actually beaten Jasmine yet, as I've been pretty lazy. Aaaand if possible, could we conduct the Snorunt trade possibly this weekend or early next week? Whenever you want should be okay. Oh, and by the way, a friend at school lent me the event Arceus, so you're safe from the pain of doing that. Oh well, enjoy ODST and Pokemon once you get it!

ODST is one helluva game. I do agree that the AI seem smarter this time around, which is good because Halo AI has always been intelligent. And when you break down the reason on why this game is $60, it actually makes sense and makes it seem like it is well priced. Good thing I never bought a Halo map pack, and the only one I actually got was the Mythic map pack because I got it with the Halo Wars LE.

Samus defeated B&B. Gamespot switched the votes.
While I did want Samus to win, that was a pretty pathetic move from gamespot IMO.

@HavQ-san - Eh... I'm Greek, and even I don't think God of War is THAT good. ODST, on the other hand, IS that good. Snorunt trade will work for me whenever, and if you bring another Pokemon, I can send you the Shokotan Pichu as well.

@EXxile - Yeah, though the Legendary AI is just a pain now.

@mastersword007 - Well, something had to be done.

@mastersword007 (again) - Specifically, what happened was GS found five people that were "spamming" votes for Bub & Bob. After the results cleared, they subtracted the 16,000 votes for Bub & Bob that were because of those five people. More than enough for Samus to win.

B&B ruined the whole contest, i don't care who wins anymore.

Hi Brent ... lol i need to check your blogs more often

I know that one, but it's been proven false. The votes got switched a couple of minutes after the round had ended. People took pictures of B&B winning and the amount of points they won the round with.

While B&B losing points was plausible, Samus gaining them was not.
Samus got the exact same score (meaning it gained a huge amount of votes) B&B had before switch and vice versa. Another thing, ''that'' site had several people that did the same for samus, but were the point reduction explanation true, samus would have lost a huge amount of votes too. Gamespot's explanation isn't correct.

@-DaNuTz- - Well, I haven't been around much lately...

@mastersword007 - Well, something had to be done. And if they caught five people with 16,000 votes... who knows how many they could've found if they cracked down on everyone.

Haven't played FFI or FFII. Would probably get them if Square remade them again. Wasn't into the series at the time Dawn of Souls came out. And while I haven't spent much time with ODST, so far I agree with you. And not to make you mad...but HG/SS is AWESOME. And I was pretty much expecting a Kayne pic .

True, but this does show that gamespot had everything planned out.
That site just ruined their plans by beating very powerful characters one after another.

Kinda glad that the Chief lost, though. What were they thinking putting b&b next to the chief? That was like giving him a free pass forward (until they interfered)
