Coming into seeing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, I had no expectations. The 20% rating really left me with no hope. But I was pleasantly surprised.

Saying Transformers 2 had mindless action is rediculous. The effects blown me away along with the explosions and robots fighting scene after scene. The plot tries to be complex, but it also opens oppurtunity of conflict between the Decpticons and Autobots. We learn more about their past struggles which relates back to why their coming back to Earth.

The movie obviously doesn't take itself seriously when dogs are humping in it, but my main problem with the movie begins when it tries to express the love with Shia Lebouf and Megan Fox. Seriously, it's pathetic...no-one cares! It's almost as painful as the whole college scenery, it's poorly used. Anyway, I just wanna see Megan Fox in slow-mo, not Shia Lebouf stuttering like an idiot because he can't say I love you...ugh. Plus, robots cussing is unnecessary. It's idiotic.

Overall, It starts out slow and picks itself back up towards the end. If you enjoy robots fighting on earth along with humans thrown in the mix, go see this movie.

Rating: 7.5/10

It's necessary to include the Lincoln Park song the movies uses, so here it is click here

Great review. I haven't seen the movie myself, unfortunately. I will eventually though. Did you mean 'Linkin Park?'

Yeah, 7.5 seems about right. Amazing visual effects. Amazing action. Orgasmic use of transformation/weapons. Hit-or-miss comedy. Terrible story.

Might see it again in iMax though.

I cant get myself to see this, I just cant. When I saw the first I thought it was great, but a year later I just thought it was stupid, it was really only good for that one first watch at the theater but after that I just couldnt stand it. Now this one is just getting trashed to death, and looks ridiculous and I just read a yahoo article about the top ten plot holes in this film, and yes big blockbusters dont always set out to have great plots, but damn, seriously? Some of the stuff they had in that article couldnt be true, they just couldnt, there is plot holes and then there is completely illogical scripts, Ill be waiting for a rent, or even just wait for it to be on cable.

I loved Transformers, I found it to be excellently funny, the college bits went along at a much better pace than the first and Micheal Bay does a great job of making fighting robots seem like art. Only gripe is the Fallen was a bit stock.

I agree with you. I thought it was a great movie, action wise and the parts of the story that were taken seriously progressed the movie well but there could've been more of it. That's what I'm hoping for from the third movie in a few years.

@Bioshockraptor - Thanks and yep I meant Linkin Park I'm so dyslexic.

@tiggerboy - Thanks, hope you like it. It's been getting a lot of hate on GS lately...

@hazelnutman - Yep, the visual effects definitely topped the first one. The comedy was definitely hit or miss , I couldn't believe they included dogs humping in a transformers movie. I liked the story, but it was a mess. Way too confusing imo

@SaintLeonidas - That yahoo article is sadly true, but your not supposed to over analyze the plot of Transformers 2. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, really. I could see how that upsets people ( hit or miss) , but you should check it out once it hits DVD.

@nirvanaphoenix - The whole college scene was really off It was funny to see that dude's mom on shrooms roaming around the campus. I'm a huge fan of what Michael Bay has done with Transformers which is surprising cause I hate everything else he puts out. I will agree with you on the Fallen, kinda makes me question why'd they call the movie Revenge of the Fallen.

@Strife88 - I did enjoy the serious parts with Optimus Prime and Shia Lebouf. Those were cool, but the parts with him and Megan Fox were meh to me. I can't wait to see the 3rd one. It'll be amazing.

I could do without Megan Fox. Just give me robots on the screen all the time, and I'm happy.

@JustPlainLucas - I'd like to see her used soley as eye candy. Give her no lines what so ever, then I'm good.

I don't like Linkin Park's new stuff, there old albums were so much better. One Step Closer is so still win

I'm surprised that it's been getting so many bad reviews.

We will never see vector prime or rodimus prime in live action now! they handled the matrix wrong to. i want ultra magnus
