Season 10, Ep. 1 - Trials

The day we have all been waiting for has finally come and gone (until next week). I can't say that it was a great episode, but I have renewed faith in the writers. Why? Because they finally made Olivia realize that she has to face the fact that she was almost raped. I was afraid that they weren't going to bring it up again. At the end of last season I started writing a FF about Olivia and what would happen when she finally couldn't take it any more. Of course I like my version, but at least they addressed it. At the beginning of the episode when she said that she hadn't gotten much sleep, I knew something was up and was excited to see what was happening. When Cragen sent her home early, I was happy and sad at the same time when she started having flashbacks from Undercover. I was afraid though, that she was gonna be all tough about it and keep trudging on. But after she talked to Caitlyn, I knew there was no way that she would let herself crumble like that. Even though I knew that, I didn't think that she would get help right away. I am interested to see how often they address it in future episodes. I really, really hope she says something to Elliot. From the look of next week's episode, they won't be doing much talking, 'cause he will have a lot on his mind already.

I was I'm kinda mad that Fin wants to leave. It seemed sorta out of the blue. Or is it just me? I know it was hard for him in Undercover too, but I don't remember him saying anything about wanting to leave. And why didn't anyone say anything about Lake? Not that I ever really paid him much noticed, but he was arrested. And go figure that Elliot's stolen credit card comes back to his daughter's boyfriend. I don't have any kids, so I don't know how he feels about his family, but I don't like them. Next week's episode is gonna be pure angst, I can feel it. There seems to be nothing but trouble whenever his family is around. And though I think that he and Olivia would be good for each other, I don't necessarily thing they should hook up. They are good friends, and I miss the relationship they had in the first few seasons. It seems that so much stuff has come between them and they have let it build up because they don't want to face it; maybe thinking that it is better left alone. But they need that friendship, it keeps them sane.

I want Casey back!! That's another thing they didn't address. Yeah, they told us she was leaving, but I wanted a little bit more than that. The new A.D.A. - I don't know what I think. The first few episodes are going to be weird, because she is new; new to them and new to us. She is trying to prove that she deserves the position and I think it is going to be annoying at first. So, I am not going to judge her yet. Give her time. Hey, she noticed that Olivia wasn't in there . .

Okay, so the first couple weeks of school have been going well, but for some reason I decided to take Algebra my senior year at college! Why? Don't know. Anyway, the first day of class, the teacher gave us a little activity which at first I thought was stupid but once I tried it I couldn't stop until I had figured it out. So, I am giving it to anyone here who is willing to use their brain for a couple hours. Really, it took me about an hour. This isn't really a math problem, but more of seeing how well you organize information.

There are five houses on one side of Birch Street, each a different color. The homeowners each drive a different kind of car, and each has a different kind of pet. The owners all read different newspapers, and each grows a different plant in the garden.

- The family with the station wagon lives in the read house.
- The owner of the SUV has a dog.
- The family with the van reads the Gazette.
- The green house is immediately to the left of the white house.
- The Chronicle is delivered to the green house.
- The man who plants zucchini keeps birds.
- The owners of the yellow house grow corn.
- In the middle house they read the Times.
- The compact car parks at the first house.
- The family that grows eggplant lives in the house next to the family with cats.
- The people who lives in the house next to the house with a horse grow corn.
- The woman who grows beets receives the Daily News.
- The owner of the sports car grows okra.
- The family with the compact car lives next to the blue house.
- They read the Bulletin in the house next to the house where they grow eggplant.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled
it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is, as I filled it
lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table . everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the backyard was like it used to be. quiet, serene
and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see. Our government gives out free food,
subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education
and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor; your child's 2nd grade clas* is
behind other schools because over half the children don't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other than 'Old Glory' are
squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government
to take down the bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on; if not,
continue cleaning up the poop!
