Wow, lots of news on games I like! I'ma recap, along with why this is awesome for me.
Zelda: Nintendo's Wii website now has a video of the intro sequence to Twilight Princess. It's amazing; I HIGHLY suggest watching it. It contains no spoilers or anything. It's definitely a tribute to Ocarina of Time's intro sequence, with Link riding Epona through Hyrule Field. It ends, however, on an entirely different note. All I'll say is, as someone who loves Zelda, this got me enough to make my eyes tear up. I'll admit it, I almost cried. Just a measure of the awesomeness that is that video.
Halo: Halo 3 is here! Well, info is. The ATV that ALMOST made it into Halo 2 is back for real. All your weapons show, meaning your holstered gun can be seen on the player models. How many times have I attacked a sniper only for him to pull a shotgun / sword on me? Too many, but no more. His other weapon will be strapped to his back. New weapons include the spike grenade, which sounds... painful. The Brute Spike Gun sounds like an orange, vamped up version of the needler, if not a replacement for it. The SPARTAN Laser is a rocket-launcher sized Death Star Laser, which in all likelyhood will be powered down or 'nerfed' before the game goes gold. There's also something called the 'Man Cannon' which shoots people instead of ammo. The bumpers reload your weapons individually instead of one button reloading both at the same time, leaving you defenseless. X does... something. We don't know yet.
Halo 3 comes in the standard regular and collector's editions, but also in a 'legendary edition' which features several xtras DVDs, some Red vs Blue stuff, the cutscenes from Halo 1 and Halo 2 in cinematic HD form, and it comes in a life-sized replica of the Chief's helmet.
I went to EB before class yesterday and put 25$ more on my preorder for Zelda, and put $25 down for my Halo 3 Legendary Edition preorder. Yesterday was happy.
