Sorry all for being a non-entity for so long. My Mum passed about 6 weeks ago and it has taken awhile to get back into the normal swing of things. Not that life is ever 'normal' but you know what I mean. So rather than just absorbing and observing I will again have some minimal output. So yeah - no parents or grandparents now. My Dad has been gone for 30 years and that was pretty hard to take way back when. These grim realities get easier to take but no matter how many times you experience them, you can never be prepared. So that is why I haven't been visible lately. I just needed to stew in private and work things out. OK - enough downer news.
Lately - I have been diligently watching Star Trek - TOS on blu, Next Gen, and Voyager on DVD. I just can't see those shows enough. I grew up watching TOS and have been watching it in syndication since forever. Now that I own them all, I just love having viewing marathons. Yes - I am a total Trekker and sci-fi nut in general. Can't wait for the new Star Trek to come out in blu.
Other than that, watching movies, anime, playing games. Slowly reintegrating with my old routines.

Well - harsh reality is again about to slap me upside of the head - starting with an alarm going off at 5 am [ the sickening likes of which I have not had to endure for the past 3 weeks ], heading for the bus at 6 am and then being at my desk at about 6:50 am for my 7 - 4 fun fest. It was GREAT while it lasted. Watched a ton of movies, TV series, anime, got into a few games quite deeply. Biked a lot, did overnighters at inns, etc..... Slept at 1 or 2 am, got out of bed at 8 or 9 am . ....
Basically - had a great time and now must spend the next 5 months working my keister off untill my christmas break. OK - maybe I AM whining about this a little - but the simple fact of the matter is that I really enjoy not-work much much more than work. And the thoughts of another 17 years of dancing to someone else's tune just isn't doing it for me. Oh well - that's why we have vacation - to make all the other stuff in between worthwhile. In the meantime - there's always next weekend !

I have been meaning to do this for quite some time and it keeps slipping my mind [ must be my buddy Al distracting me - you know - Al Zeimer? ] - so finally here it is. To all of the people who so selflessly document a game in all its intricacies - kudos and THANK YOU. I know there have been countless times where an FAQ has saved my bacon and allowed me to get past an otherwise impassable obstacle and finish a game. This won't be a long blog but I am sure many of us share this sentiment so to all FAQ writers - thanks again and keep up the great job - your efforts are certainly appreciated.
