Frankly I don't get why everyone seems to think that this movie is so great and hopefully people will understand that this movie is hardly anything to get excited about.

Blood Diamond shows us what is still going on in the world around us. Following the diamond smuggler Danny Archer and enslaved fisherman Solomon Vandy, we get to experience the extent of the industrial world's greed. War ravages the country of Sierra Leone as the two men team up to find the diamond that is supposed to be able to solve all of their problems. The way there is full of death and horrors and from the very beginning one understands that not everything can be fixed with one small stone.
Even though the movie is an entertaining experience, it serves a much greater purpose. This movie tries to show us that just because we no longer have war in "our" world, it doesn't mean that that is true in the rest of the world, and it is our greed that is fueling the fight. So basically, the movie shows us that we have to act, otherwise the most beautiful contenent on this planet will forever be lost, crushed by the greed that we have in us. I hope that you are ready to take the fight further than that of a movie screen, I hope I am too...

Nothing compared to the books. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is one of the finest books in the world and one of the best Harry Potter books of all. When Chris Columbus tries to adapt the book into a movie he manages to satisfy the masses but leaves die hard fans like myself with much to be desired.
The basic plot remains pretty much intact with a few little changes, but other than that much of what gave the book it's charm is lost in translation whilst trying to get to the point.
Sadly it is this "Get to the point"- mentality that ruins all the Harry Potter movies and even though this is the best adaption of an HP-book I still hoped for so much more.

One of the worst movies ever made, and by far the worst video game movie to ever hit the silver screen.
Terrible acting, abysmal story, god awful interpretation and effects that make you want to vomit makes this one of the worst movies to be made to date and frankly, is a rape of the Super Mario Bros. name!
Any movie where the "princess" looks more like a prostitute, toad is a punker with a mohawk, Yoshi is a baby T-Rex and Bowser is Dennis Hopper is just too much for any serious gamer to take, and is frankly an insult to all that video games stand for, because not even Uwe Boll can compare to this crap.

Pan's Labyrinth shows that there is no evil that you can make up that compares to that of the evil in the human heart. Ofelia's adventure in the heart of civil war Spain is a beautiful, yet deadly journey that you after a time will realize can't end happily ever after.
The actors are amazing, the screen play beautiful, the script is well written and the effects are as good as you would expect. You can't help but be captivated by the world that Guillermo Del Toro has created for Ofelia, and even if the visuals are amazing there are times where you want to put your heels together and wish your way home.
Overall Pan's Labyrinth is an amazing achievement that shows the sad truth of what war does to the innocence of a child. I for one will never stop believing.
