Unlike a bunch of stores I read about, my local Gamestop wasn't hosting a midnight launch last night, but instead of morning launch at 8am the morning of the 7th. This morning, I met a friend and we went together, got there at 7:55, went inside and waited for them to unlock the gate. Exactly at 8, my GS seller, Sid, came and unlocked the gates and let us in. This has been the shortest pickup ever for me. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and that includes my putting some left over money on a Naruto: The Broken Bond preorder I have later this month. I was back home at 8:20am and crashed.
About 9PM tonight, I got up and started the game while looking for someone to Co-op with and soon found someone who would, but after 4 hours of continued play, my hand started to hurt cause of my Cerebral Palsy and it definitely affected my gameplay. I died like 4 times while trying to avoid this giant worm's teeth. Because I kept dying, my Co-op friend wanted to quit with me and continue on with one of his friends. He also said I might have better luck in single player and he may be right, but I really hope he understands things and I wasn't just being an idiot.
This has been the best pre order pickup I've ever had and the most fun. I was the only one there at the moment.
After my hand stops hurting in a few hours, I think I'll play some single player or try more Co-op.
So far, Gears 2 has fully met my expectations.
Since I got my PS3, I've been having problems finding a usable solution on how to keep my PS3 and 360 together while allowing them to vent their heat and not cook each other in the process. The PS3 is on all the time, even when I'm not playing, due to Folding@Home running and that runs it at full tilt and full temperature all the time.
The only solution I can think of is keeping them out on the floor, space between them, allowing the heat to vent out into the room, where my AC comes into play. Do any of you PS3 owners have any ideas, pictures of what ya'll use or links to entertainment centers that allow for plenty of airflow?
Any help on this would be very useful.
Earlier, I refreshed my page while watching my blog and noticed I have the emblems for all 3 conferences now and a silver E3 one for tuning into both days of the E3 show. I intend to follow this through and enjoy all the content goodies in HD!
Yay for GS doing something right for a change. I wonder what other neat emblems I'll get during the E3 goodies?
