Well, I hope you all enjoy this first chapter of Eather: World among Worlds, the First lgacy is basically the first saga, although its much longer than a saga really.
The sun shone brightly over the small village of Karaigo, it was nearing Midday as people bustled through the street, some had baskets of rags on their heads, some were returning from the lake with buckets of water, in a small wooden built house, a young boywas just waking up.
Caleb Pantech was a young, 15 year old boy, 5:10 tall, not skinny, but not large either. He had dark brown naturally spiked hair. Since his mother died at birth his father was left to care for Caleb all alone. His father was getting on in life, thus getting weaker, Caleb ended up having to do most of the work.
Caleb made his father's breakfast. Upon realising his father was sleeping in even more than Caleb had, he placed the tray next to his bed and walked out.
He entered the streets, closing the door behind him. Immediately he headed to the edge of town, the one leading to Brim road, which, if followed correctly, led to the other side of the country, where the battle of Gurohaino fortress was being fought.
Caleb arrived at the start of Brim road, and soon looked up in a tree on his left, seeing a boy sitting in it, staring out along Brim road, and into the horizon.
This boy's name was Neon, he was average height and weight, he had jet black hair, slightly longer sideburns and more dircted forward than Calebs hair. Caleb and Neon got along okay, they used to talk alot, but that was before the battle was called, and men from their village left.
One of those men was a young man in his twenties, Ichiya Komono. Ichiya was regarded in his village as a hero in some ways, he protected the village from anyone who tried to attack it. He took Neon in as a baby and looked after him, then, on Neon's fifteenth birthday, Ichiya was called for battle.
Since Ichiya had left, neon was never seen out of that tree. After about five minutes of silence, Caleb spoke up "Hey Neon, still miss him?". Caleb got no reply, Caleb had been thinking foir a long time. Maybe their lives in Karaigo had come to an end, maybe it was time to set out and find a new adventure, Caleb didn't want to do it alone, he wanted to do it with Neon.
"Neon, what if I said, we should leave this place, what if I said we should find Ichiya? What if, what if we could be more free?" Neon raised an eyebrow, one eye moved towards Caleb "What do you.. mean?" Asked Neon, coldly.
Caleb was taken back by Neon speaking, but brushed it off and continued "We can'tjust sit here not knowing, Ichiya might be dead or alive, how will we know if we don't go and find out? Sure there'll be alot of dangers, but are we worthy to call him our friend if we sit and cower from the dangers of the outside world?". Neon pondered this, then shook his head "No..". Coming down from the tree, he walked into the hotel, Caleb sighed, and walked back into his own hut.
Night fell soon, and Caleb was awakened by some rummaging outside, he looked through the blinds on his window, a large, black carriage was in town, pulled by black horses, a tall figure dismounted the front of the carriage, taking out a small mechanism, she headed into the hotel.
Caleb watched, for what seemed like forever, but was soon satisfied when the figure came out, followed by none other than Neon, as the figure re-mounted the carriage, Neon snuck into the back. The woman lashed the reigns, and the horses sped off. Caleb saw this as his opportunity to travel with Neon, he'd have to explain later, immediately he ran ouside of the door, not bothering to shut it behind him.
He leapt, a great leap allowed Caleb to grab the railings on the side of the carriage, causing a jolt. Neon shook inside of the carriag due to the impact of Caleb hitting the side, he opened he window, to find nothing "Must hav been a stone under the wheel.." he thought, closing the window.
Caleb had quickly scrambled under the carriage, into a compartment where the bags were, he thought they'd be meaningless so he moved a few so he could fit, the gentle rocking of the carriage soon rocked Caleb to sleep, as the carriage sped off into the unknown.. Along Brim Road.
