We see Billy in his movie theater uniform since he goes to work for his dad who owns the local movie theater & we see his dad come in & give him a letter to ASU (Arizona State University) & billy says:

Billy:*kinda disappointed*It feels thick....

Billy's dad: yeah, thats a good sign.

Billy opens the letter & its an acceptance letter to ASU for the fall. He starts tearing up because its want he wanted...last year before east high but after Troy's behavior hes conflicted. & we see Troy starting to go to the golf course while Billy stays in the back & finishes getting ready for work, his father already went out to the customer service desk.

Troy: Everybody's always talking at me...

Billy: Everybody's tryin' to get in my head... (rubs his temples a lil bit and then looks up for the next line)

both: I wanna hear my own heart talking/ Need to count on my self instead....

Troy: (did you ever) Lose yourself to get what you want?

Billy: (did you ever) Get on a ride then wanna get off? (does a lil bend back when he sings " wanna get off" & throws his arm in front of him kinda starting to dance but not, hard to explain in writing)

Troy: (did you ever) push away the ones you should've held close/Did you ever let go, did you ever not know...(billy: not know)

both sing the chorus

Billy: How will I know there's a path worth taking...(looks back and forth between the acceptance letter and the Wildcats yearbook)

both: Should i question every move i make?

Troy: with all i've lost my heart is breaking/ I don't want to make the same mistakes (did you ever)

Billy: Doubt your dream will ever come true (did you ever) (puts his head in between his hands still looking between the two objects)

Troy: Blame the world but never blame you

Both: (I will never) try to live a lie again...

Troy: I dont wanna play if i cant play it my way (billy: play it my way)

Both do the chorus

Troy: oh, hold up (while billy stands up defensively)

Troy: Do what you think

Billy: Bring it on now (starts pacing around like he's about to fight, or in this case dance)

Troy: Gotta work on my swing

Billy: Gotta do my own thing/Oh hold up

Troy: Its not good at all to see yourself/and not recognize your face

Billy: Out on my own...its such a scary place (looks into a mirror on the other side of the room)

Both: The answers are all inside of me/ all i got to do is believe (finishes getting ready & starts to head out to his dad while singing these last few lines)

they both sing together on the last few lines. Billy gets up & moves out to tell his dad that hes thinking about staying & when he sings the last line "you can bet on meeeeee" he realizes that hes in public & everyone sees him & he gets embarrassed & goes back into the office.

So what do you guys think about my idea for this one?

ALso Billy comes back for the final song. He comes in right after the girls sing "lets celebrate/'cause there'll never/ be another" & when everyone sees him they stop & after a few secs Billy sings the next line "We're stronger this time,we've been there for eachother" showing that hes staying & forgiven Troy (for the most part) & then they all continue the rest of the song.

& ill take any ideas if you see anything that should change...& remember i know this is just in my imagination & can never happen so dont get all worked up how im changing the story.

Hey guys im gonna post my vision of how to incorporate Billy into Gotta go my own way and Bet on it...i hope you like.

Billy confesses to Troy about his past & tells him he's leaving & goes to get his stuff while Troy takes a walk & sees Gabi talking to Sharpay.

Gabi sings the first verse.

Gabi & billy: I've got to move on, and be who i am/ I just dont belong here.../I hope you understand.../But atleast for now/ I gotta go my own way...

Billy (while Gabi gets her stuff): Don't want to leave it all behind/ But i get my hopes up and I watch them fall everytime (starts tearing up)

Billy (Gabi sings backup): Another color turns to grey...

Billy (solo): And its just too hard...to watch it all slip away

Billy (Gabi who comes back out): I'm leavin' today/ 'Cause I gotta do whats best for me/ you'll be ok....(Billy is still teary eyed)

both sing the chorus...(Billy goes to the end of the bridge toward the car to wait for Gabi)

Troy: What about us? what about everything we've been through?

Gabi: What about trust?

Troy: You know i never meant to hurt you.

Billy (coming forward & speaking up): What about me...?

Troy (looking at Billy): What am I supposed to do...

Billy & Gabi: I gotta leave but i'll miss you...

Troy: ...miss you

Then the 3 go back and forth with the final chorus...& billy singing backup to Gabi while going to the car & Gabi's mom gives him a ride home.

Well since 4 people wanted to hear my idea here it goes

Well my character's name is Billy. He transferred to East high after the whole musical fun of HSM 1 and the first person he met was Troy & Troy made him feel very welcome & they became fast friends. Also, Billy's dad owns the local movie theater, so after the What time is it? song Billy overhears the guys talking about summer jobs & offers to talk to his dad about getting them jobs.

I guess now would be a good time to mention Billy's past...At Billy's old school he was bullied and he had no friends but he was very bright & creative. So when Troy was nice to him & they became friends Billy started feeling better about himself

Billy wasnt exactly like a puppy dog towards Troy but he "loved" him very much but just as a friend sine Troy was the first person to ever show any kindness towards him.

Billy comes in with Mrs. Bolton, helping her carry some groceries. He came by to tell the WIldcats his dad said ok for the Wildcats to work there, & then Troy says he got them all jobs at the resort and BIlly looks a lil hurt thinking he wasnt invited & Troy saw this hurt expression on Billy's face & asked him if he'd want to come too, of course Billy said yes. Then we get to the resort & all that & then Troy gets promoted & decides to make Billy his assistant & Billy agreed. Everything was fine until Troy went to go play with the college guys. Troy asked Billy to do something kinda demeaning (cleaning his locker out or something like that), which is how Billy's old bullies treated him. Troy thought this was an ok request & also did a lil half-cocked smile & tongue-click before leaving. This hurt Billy very bad.

But Billy stayed on for his fellow Wildcats, but there were times when it got too much for Billy & he would cry. I mean his first best friend had changed & is acting like his old bullies.

Before Gabi did her break up song, Billy told Troy that he couldnt take it anymore & was leaving, telling him about his past with the bullies & how Troy turned into them. & during Gabi's song Billy would sing some of the parts too because its what he felt too. Billy also left with Gabi.

the reason billy is conflicted is well basically...billy sent an application to ASU b4 going to east high & then when he came to east high & met his very first friend (Troy) he forgot all about it & then he gets the acceptance letter after troy was a jerk... it was all a case of bad timing...billy also made friends with all the wildcats but mostly troy so when troy acted like a jerk he wanted to leave & then the letter comes.

So Billy has the choice of leaving East High for good because of what Troy did or stick it out with the other Wildcats who were his friends too. Billy also sings some of Bet on it to show his confusion like Troy is going thru.

Then Billy decides to show up to the talent show to cheer on his friends, but was uncomfortable. After the Everyday song, Billy looks happy and ready to cheer then he & Troy lock eyes & then BIlly looks hurt again & leaves. Later, when everyone's in the kitchen or something Troy feels a lil guilty & tells everyone what he had done & why Billy hasnt really forgiven him.

Then we go to the end, im guessing its been a couple days or weeks. During the All for One song Billy comes to the pool, everyone sees him & stops singing because its kinda awkward. And then Billy sings the next line, while standing face to face with Troy, "We're stronger this time, we've been there for eachother" & he smiles & they resume singing & everything. after the song Billy tells Troy that hes not completely forgiven but given time...

I know that this might be hard to read but i hope you get the main idea. It might seem that Billy has a crush on Troy but its only as a friend he loves Troy for being the first kid his age to be nice to him. if anyone wants to make this into a fanfic let me know & we can work on it together please tell me what you think

I was thinking for Billy's Bet on it scene (while troy is on the golf course) billy would be at the movie theater (which his father owns)& then he opens the acceptance letter from ASU in Arizona...& then he sings...& instead of a club he's using one of those little brooms you know...& like when he sings the see yourself line, he's cleaning the bathroom...& then at the end he goes out into the public & sings "bet on meeeee..." the last line of the song & realizes people are staring lol...what you think?
