that's really strange, that's because they want themselves to be the only slim people in the world and want to laugh at us who helplessly devour the cheeseburger that we buy, but no, I can't seem to resist, the burger is tasty, ohhh so mouth watering!
Posted May 10, 2007 1:19 pm PT
yea i know but rally thats why. So then people thick the hamburger is chaeper so people buy it!
Posted May 10, 2007 1:51 pm PT
People pay more to eat less. That's a fact.
Posted May 10, 2007 6:17 pm PT
Really? Here cheesburgers are 89 cents, while double CBs are 99.
Posted May 10, 2007 6:30 pm PT
You just reminded me why I rarely eat cheeseburgers. That Cheddar cheese has inflated prices these days.
Posted May 11, 2007 8:50 am PT
I know. That means it's cheaper than that.
Posted May 12, 2007 12:04 pm PT
Well there are dumb things and people in the world.
Posted May 12, 2007 2:31 pm PT
It's cause it's in the extra value menu and therefore 99 cents. The normal ones are $1.19. Still is amusing though.

rally's > mcdonald's
Posted May 18, 2007 7:52 am PT
It's cause of the bread. instead of using 3 bread and 3 pattys they can use 6 pattys on 3 breads so they save 3 breads if they made 6 regular cheeseburgers. The meat is nothing they get that from cats and dogs from alleys it's the bread there worried about

What ever i love the Mcdonald burgers though i always get a #6 Meal (a Double cheeseurger meal) a coke to drink and an extra Double Chesseburger by it's self
Posted May 23, 2007 7:12 pm PT
Casey has owned the mcdonald sheeps.
Posted May 29, 2007 7:14 pm PT
Well they have to take out that extra patty, you know...
Posted May 30, 2007 4:35 pm PT
When the food is made from processed chemicals they can charge whatever they please. Seriously I love fast food but McDonalds food scares me.
Posted Jun 6, 2007 11:31 pm PT
white castle is better anyway.
Posted Jun 8, 2007 12:17 pm PT
Who needs McDonald's when you can make your own burgers at home that taste a bajillion times better?
Posted Jun 10, 2007 7:36 pm PT
Casey, you are so wise.
Posted Jun 18, 2007 1:02 am PT
That's because the double-cheesburger's meat is made from %100 doberman pincher. Yeah, that's right...dog!
Posted Jun 19, 2007 6:24 pm PT
I CAN HAS CHEEZEBURGER?
Posted Jun 21, 2007 5:46 pm PT
Casey, I need you to escape, I can cut the power to the door only for a few seconds without being detected.
Posted Jun 27, 2007 9:21 pm PT
It is a conspiracy to make us all fat.
Posted Jul 2, 2007 11:25 pm PT
Ninja_Dog you hit it dead on
its a sad sad place and thing. you pay a bit of money for fatting food but you pay more money for better safer food
Posted Jul 3, 2007 1:51 pm PT
It is all a matter of economics. You have to take into consideration how much more processing time is required to make a certain item, cheese is processed at most fast food places and is dirt cheap, buns require baking and need to be rolled first, so there is actually more labour involved, same with the meat. Certain products cost less then others in the fast food industry. I work at Taco Bell and the sour cream costs more then the spicey peppar jack sauce on the Gordita Crunch and thus we have to charge for it if someone wants the sour cream instead of the sauce that comes with it.

Given the choice between a McDonalds burger and a sock, I'd have to seriously consider the sock...
No matter which I eat, I'd still feel like a dog.

Strange huh?
I live in Southern New Jersey and literally I have a McDonalds for a backyard (twenty second walk from my back gate). Anyway, I am over there alot getting Carmel Iced Coffee and while I wait I usually read the menu. It is bizarre to see the cheeseburger cost more then the double and because I am over there so frequent I know the manager. So I decided one day I asked her, her response was "I have no comment". So we may never know...
....unless I start working there but I would never go so low as to do so.

Their 42. oz drinks only cost 69 cents.
I find that strange as well.
Other than their apple pies and fries (I should be a rapper), I wouldn't eat anything from there.
Plus, here in CA, we have IN N' OUT which is like 10000^1000 times better in mine (and many others) opinion(s).

yup, but you get an extra hamburger patty.
Posted Jul 27, 2007 7:50 am PT
Wow. If I was in the states, I'd only get double cheeseburgers and give the second patty to my dog.

Meh, after having it a million times In N Out isn't so great.
Posted Aug 8, 2007 7:29 am PT
Still amazing compared to other fast food places, and I've lived here my entire life.
Posted Aug 8, 2007 8:53 am PT
well, all the food items are expensive in my town! lol
Posted Aug 11, 2007 8:28 pm PT
I have stores near my house that will charge you *5 for a dollar* or *1 for 95 cent* Its retarded cause I can never find the extra 5 cent for whatever It is I'm buying.
Posted Aug 12, 2007 7:40 pm PT
yeesh MCDonalds. I'de rather eat a Crystal burger and I hate crystal burgers, or even a wopper (bleh). go to wendeys or something.
Posted Aug 12, 2007 10:02 pm PT
i've given up on McDonalds. It might taste good for the five to ten minutes while you are eating, but then you don't feel too good after. But yeah, thats weird
Posted Aug 16, 2007 10:49 am PT
Are you sure you're not thinking of Burger King? They cost 24 cents more there, but 1 cent less at McDonalds. At least here they do.
Posted Aug 16, 2007 11:12 pm PT
Very....
Posted Aug 20, 2007 9:23 pm PT
trying to get you to buy it maybe
Posted Aug 24, 2007 8:03 am PT
Link or it's not true.
Posted Aug 28, 2007 6:45 pm PT
You have to pay more to diet.
Posted Aug 31, 2007 12:00 pm PT
I have a deeply rooted aversion to McDonalds (okay not really, they just are crap) so I wouldn't know.
In other news you can get a Jumbo Jack-sized cheeseburger at Jack in the Box down here in Texas for $1.07 after tax.

The Patriots!?

In Japan Double Cheeseburgers from McDonald's taste way way better. Although the ketchup does taste weird.
Posted Feb 23, 2009 6:25 pm PT
Never order a double cheeseburger again. Always order the McDouble. The only difference between the 2 is that the double cheeseburger has one more slice of cheese. i've tasted both side by side and you cannot taste the difference.

it has to do with the variable costs i wager...
the higher the demand the higher the production, the higher the production the lower the variable costs per unit
