I've told myself since 5th grade that I'm going to be a Computer programmer/engineer when I grow up. I've told myself since 7th grade I should start working on it. In 10th, I took a java programming class that gave me a little plot of material to work on. Now, on the same days I have school, I'm going to crack open one of my dad's gigantic C++ manuals and start working on the foundation of the building that will be my life.
I'm even going to start restricting the time I do stuff that's not related to either A) not flunking classes due to laziness, indolence, and apathy, as well as an indifference to the stupid number that everyone seems to be so freaking hyped up over, and B) Not working on learning something that will actually help me with the profession I've chosen for my future.
Yes, this really is, for once, a blog post devoted to what I'm doing right now with no gaming info included - and it hurts to realize I'm divulging info about myself... ![]()
But in all seriousness, I'm going to start reading programming manuals every day I go to school for at least an hour, and make sure I do all my homework - however much I hate it. Which means, less gaming time, less internet time, less blog time - as if I ever used much of that anyway o_O. Don't you all just hate working for your life? At least I'm not some bastard, snot-nosed and self-spoiled millionaire child that has people grovelling at my feet. I'd hate to find out I was like that at any point in my life, or - if I ever had any - my past lives.
Of course, since I'm doing this on any day I have school, I have holidays and weekends for myself too
Those are the days I get my REM cycles anyway, so, it's probably not that bad an idea. By the way, if anyone has any recommendations for stuff that'll help, I'd like to hear it ![]()
