Well today I saw the Watchmen and I must say that it was pretty darn good. I went into this film not having read the graphic novel but now I really want to pick it up and give it a read. A local paper said that watchmen was hard to follow if you hadn't read the graphic novel which I think is ridiculous because I had no problem keeping up. This definitely isn't a movie to take the kids to. I'm talking some pretty bloody parts and sex. What more can you ask for? Anyway out of all the Watchmen I'm gonna say that Rorschach is my favorite. He's really cool. This film IMO wasn't as good as TDK but my favorite so far this year. So, I give this film a 9/10. Visually stunning and had a great story.

That paper was right. I didn't know anything about Watchmen until I saw something about the movie, which I saw. It was good but I didn't like it as much as the first two X-men movies.

It was very intense, which is one way to describe it. The flashbacks to the '40s and the present day ('80s) was a bit confusing to me at times.

When I read the review in my local paper, I have to say I was surprised that it had an "R" rating, until I read why, lol!

I'm a big Watchmen fan, the book was one of the finest I've ever read. The film left me feeling underwhelmed. It felt too rushed and the pacing was off. But there were some stunning moments like the opening scene, the opening credits and pretty much any scene with Rorshach (Jackie Earle Haley gave a powerful performance!)
