I'm not sure how many of you know this, but I'm onto my fourth 360, none of them were replacements, instead, when a console broke I'd get angry, sell all my games only to buy them all over again 6 months later. A horribly expensive way to be a gamer, but if I'm anything its impulsive and indecisive.
A fact many of you would probably be aware of by my comments on the forums is that I haven't played my current 360 console in something nearing 3 months now, despite having 30 more than functional games. My attention, since the beginning of this year has been completely on my PS3, now I'm not here to start a fanboy argument, these are just the facts of the matter.
On to the reason for this blog, while my 360 is still functional (I assume, I haven't turned it on in a long time it may have turned to dust inside
) I don't see the need for it anymore and as much as I hate to admit it, I think I could be happy with *gasp* one console. The 360 exclusives do nothing for me, Gears is tired and drab, Viva Pinata was fun for a minute and the less said about Halo the better. And there's not a single exclusive title on the horizon that I am looking to (except maybe Crackdown 2 but with it being MP focus, I'm less than enthusiastic). So now I wonder, would I be happier trading in my 360 and its games, for a bunch of PS3 games? Or should I just tough out this drought, and hope for a flood (though not of the Halo variety). Because one things for sure, I certainly don't want to be finding myself at EB in another 6 months, buying another 360...

But you're right. 360 is in the middle of a horrible drought. It can only get better, right?...
Just out of interest, was this inspired by my anti-MS rants of today?...
At least Alan Wake looks really great, but it's still soooo far away from being released...
@streak000 - I know I'd regret it but the allure of new games is so strong! Your rant was just the thing that put me over the edge, I've been thinking about it for a couple of days and even my mum this morning said. "You never play your 360 anymore do you?"
@COD4_Shinedown - Haha, well I wouldn't want to forego the chance to play with you
Also -- why would you re-buy games when you don't even want to play them anymore? You seem to have a compulsive habit of just buying a bunch of things that you don't plan on using. I'll never understand your massive DVD collection. The only way it could be justified is if you have a source of cheap DVDs, like eBay, but you don't use eBay...
But yeah, sell it. You haven't used it in months and you're not looking forward to anything. We shouldn't have to answer this for you.
@streak000 - Lol, sorry about that. It's been around for a couple of months I think, though I've noticed a lot of people don't use it. I think it's pretty cool, if you'd prefer being saved the shock I can not do it when replying to your messages?
Crackdown 2 was mentioned in MS conference today.
I'd go with not sell it, but it depends if you are really in need of funds to buy PS3 games you want to play more. I prefer my 360 to my PS3, but not by a wide margin. I tend to prefer the controller, but that is just personal preference. You might also consider some of the XBLA exclusives as well if you haven't looked into downloadable games.
But I must admit you've made me somewhat depressed about my own Xbox 360...
so you sell then rebuy 30 games 4 times thats about......alot
i say leave it, if it breaks dont bother getting a new one, let it sit there and become a memory, then if you feel like doing stuff when you're old and retired, then attempt to fix it, couldnt hurt you and by then we will be up to the like ps10 or something
you know you love your ps3 more
@raghraghragh - GTAIV DLC hey? Too bad I only have the game on PS3 and also don't really like it
And I would have said something else, but everyone else has already used the same arguments that I would have used.
If your happy with a PS3 and don't play your 360 any more then I say trade your 360 and buy some games or buy your girlfriend something nice.

And judging by you love of the original Crackdown, when the sequel is released (with or without it's MP focus) you're gonna want to play it.
