I was hungry
and I have tomorrow free anyway, so who cares about getting to sleep at a decent hour.
I will probably update on the car in a few days, there's some things going on with it right now. I'll give the news when it's over.
I guess I got over my video game boredom, at least for a while. I've been playing some of my games from scratch for the last week or so. (from scratch because new ps3 means no saved data anymore
) I completed Assassin's Creed, and then Grand Theft Auto 4. Yeah, I was totally running up the back of traffic throughout the game saying "HAH! How do you like it, B****!!!" I need to vent somehow ![]()
I'm not sure of which game to move on to next. I want to get Infamous soon, probably when I get paid at the end of the month. I took a night off rehearsal with one of my choirs this month because I was too sick, so that means I lose $50, dammit. This choir also has employed a new conductor, a woman with excellent conducting skills and techniques, but little experience working with a live accompanist, which is me. We're having communication trouble during rehearsal, and she has made some errors that I've had to correct her on, for example she unintentionally had the tenors singing the alto line for a while. One of us will probably have to go if we can't work well together, but I hope it doesn't come to that.
There is a second piano contest in early August, and I am preparing some new repertoire (Bach, Beethoven and Chopin for those interested in the music I play) as well as taking the judge's feedback from last time and improving my other pieces. I'm not sure if any of this new stuff will be at a decent performance standard to use by then, but learning it all will provide an excellent foundation, like a basic staple any pianist should have. I am still a student of piano, don't forget.
It has been raining consistently for a few days, and quite heavy, so we may have another flood soon, as predicted. Damn that Nostradamus.
Comments
@Papitar: Agreed
@nftw: It's a pizza I pulled out of the freezer and stuck in the oven. Besides, there's only one pizza place near where I live and it's pretty nasty. On that note, the Chinese food in this town is revolting, you need to be desperate to eat it! Crappy pizza, crappy chinese, in a town prone to flooding, eugh!!!! It's quite alright if you can't come online, I understand what's going on, I think you deserve all the luck rather than me.
@Ataraxia94: That's a weird problem.
@Sparda_13: Of all things, I'm playing Killzone 2 now, giving it another chance, I guess. It's pretty short so I got through the campaign fairly quickly, I'm now trying again at a slightly harder difficulty, which actually forces me to be a little strategic, less mindless shooting, because it's much easier to die. I don't know if I was clear enough in my original evaluation that it is a very good game, it's just not my usual genre, which is why I don't get really stuck into it.
About the flood, looks like Nostradamus was foiled. The river got close to overflowing, but then the rain stopped and the water went back down to normal. We had a sunny day today
