I've been watching lots of old Office episodes lately and I've gotta say, JAM is starting to wear on me a little...I've always been a huge Jim and Pam supporter, mostly because I know what it's like to have such strong feelings for a friend and being unable to act on them. I know I'm not alone in that sentiment and I feel that's what makes the show so successful - it touches on so many facets of life that viewers can relate to.

I'm also a big Friends fan and was thrilled when Ross and Rachel ended up together in the end - I mean, c'mon, who didn't want those two to make it work? But does real life really work that way? No, of course not.

Last week, Pam left Phyllis and Bob's wedding with Roy. If Pam is anything like myself, she was feeling bummed because of having Jim and Karen's relationship shoved in her face. Roy is a known entity, he's comfortable and stable to her - hell she was with him for some 9 years! Who wouldn't turn to something like that in a time of sadness? I know I'm not above something like that...

All that being said, I still want to see Jim and Pam together. I really believe it should be Pam's move - poor Jim has already gone out on a limb SO much as far as his feelings for Pam are concerned - and the fact that she's not doing it is weakening her as a character in my eyes. She SHOULD tell Jim how she feels, but then would that be an accurate reflection of "reality?"

I guess I'm just frustrated...if she's gonna say something, it needs to be soon. Her window of opportunity is closing fast. Jim's  statement that her dorky dancing is cute shows that he's still willing to make the occasional flirty comment. He's giving her plenty of opportunities to suck it up and say something. If she doesn't very soon, he's just going to give up and REALLY move on.

Let's go, Pam. Your soulmate's not gonna wait around forever.

I was done with the whole JAM thing by the end of season 2. I know shows want the audience to long for it. But we're not. It's annoying.
