Okay so it wasn't so bog-awful that I feel like I only "survived" it. I'm jokingly referring to the fact that I was one of the crazed fans who went to see it at a midnight premiere.
Basically, you'll probably hate the movie, love it, or if you're like me a little bit of both. In my opinion, this one is the truest to the comics and old cartoon and definitely the most comic book-ish. Also, it has a nostalgic feel to some of the scenes. My only true critique is that the end is almost too much to bear...but I won't say why.
There are MANY twists and turns, but what made it so wonderful to me was the powerful message of forgiveness. I just hope some critics don't find the movie too preachy.
After a little less than 6 years, Tobey Maguire finally became Peter Parker. He finally had the spunk that matched the character from the comics. And without going too much into detail, the writers took a huge risk with this movie...especially if it does indeed turn into the final installment as has been debated on and off again.
