So it's been already announced that Massive Entertainment is expanding World in Conflict with (among other goodies) a Soviet single player campaign.
About time! The sole reason I didn't go for WiC was because of the exclusion of a Soviet SP campaign. (Plus, it didn't help that my PC has been internet-less for the past year or so - meaning no multiplayer to enjoy!)
Don't get me wrong...I have no love for Communism or the former CCCP. I just get tired of playing as the good guys all the time in games....especially strat games (or just playing a campaign from only one perspective).
I think devs of the strategy genre should devote more resources to including multiple SP campaigns. If they can't all fit in the base game, I have no problem if they're released, like World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, in an expansion.
Gonna keep my eye out on this one.
