Hello everyone! I haven't really been around much lately. I've been trying to get as much done as possible and have been trying not to spend to much free time.
Microsoft
Starting Monday, I am an employee at Microsoft! I am just blown away about this. I had the least experience of anyone they interviewed and I still ended up with the job!
I still can't believe it. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for being so supportive after I thought I bombed the interviews! lol
Apparantly it wasn't that bad...
The Happening
So I've went to The Hulk, Kung Fu Panda, Don't Mess With the Zohan, and The Happening lately. Yeah, I didn't really limit my free time that much I guess! Out of all of them The Happening stuck in my head for some reason. I just wasn't sure what to think of it. I kinda liked it but at the same time I like anything that has an apocalyptic/huge event-kinda theme. But - when I was watching it, I just knew that no one else was going to. Shymalan's movies do get a little cheezy, I admit that. But it goes along with his styIe alright. The movie was good and bad. I still can't make up my mind about it. I would definitely watch it again.
I felt that he went to more of a graphic horror movie to show that he wasn't as cookie-cutter as the critics think he is. I definitely think he gets too motivated by what the critics think. I think thats too bad.
I guess my point is that other horror movie directors make awful movies a lot of time but they don't get tore into like Shymalan gets. I think they just he got put on such a higher level after he did The Sixth Sense and they compare everything he does to that. If you are capable of enjoying a low-budget, badly edited, cheezy horror flick; then you definitely might like this one. Its enjoyable, just don't expect The Sixth Sense. Overall, I haven't liked everything he's done but I'm definitely glad he's making movies. I would watch this movie again.
Enough With The Twists!
One other thing...because of The Sixth Sense, we have seen dozens of movies with the good guy ending up having a split-personality. Oh! - and of course he was also the killer! That IS annoying. After The Sixth Sense, I almost OD'ed on twist endings over the last decade...By the way - how that happens is a shutdown of the nervous system from over-cringing at crappy twist endings that waste 90 minutes over your life.
Seriously - just how many twist ending have you seen in the last 10 years? How many of them did you enjoy?
Thats enough from me. If you haven't nodded off at this point already, its good talking to you again (ahead of time).![]()
See ya around!

I saw The Happening and liked it. A lot, in fact. I read a couple of interviews with M. --We are up-close and personal friends, so we're on a first name basis. Or is that "up perse and closanal??? LOL!-- Over and over, he states he just wanted to make a really fun B movie [The Happening], nothing you could label Oscar Material. I must say, though, the film could have been just as effective without the gore. Good God, the graphic sound effects would have even been enough. (It's hard to shield your eyes and cover your ears at the same time.) When TH comes out on DVD, I'll be in line to see it again, that's for sure.
Now, can you see about getting them to send me a new 360 with an HDMI port in the back?
