Its a fantastic movie all around. If you're not a big fan of Jack Black, you'll probably still find this movie pretty funny. If you think animation hasn't made much progress in the last couple years, you'll still be surprised by the quality of the animation and effects in this film.

Its set up with the odd video effects and editing that you remember from old kung fu flicks. The action sequences are wonderfully choreographed. Each setting in the film is unique and beautiful.

This movie definitely surprised me. In my opinion maybe one of the better animated movies to come out in the last few years but definitely the best Jack Black movie to come out in the last few years... :)

The style is a little like Trainspotting or Requiem For A Dream.

One thing that seemed strange was how little blood they showed in the movie. For a slasher film it seemed like they were going for classy I guess? Every time someone was stabbed they seemed to find a way to cover it up or not show it. I'm sure it was for effect in some way but that seemed a bit lost along the way.

Also they do a bunch of the cat jumping out stuff so expect to be annoyed by that from time to time.

It was just alright. If you like slasher films, here's another one - go nuts.
