I am absolutely shocked. Not because Booth faked his death. Not because Zack was the apprentice. Not even because of Brennan's full-frontal perve-fest starring a naked Booth in the bath. I am shocked at the negativity, insults, abuse and downright rudeness of those people out there who call themselves Bones fans.

To those of you this relates to: everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and as individuals we react to situations differently... but you ARE NOT a true Bones fan if you are willing to ditch the show after one episode that may not have suited your liking. These writers have given us 3 seasons of wonderful episodes, great cases, character developments and romance. They have written moments that make you scream, cry, laugh; moments that make you feel. Personally, for people to come out and abuse those responsible for a show and characters you have claimed as you own... well that says more about you than it does about 'crappy writing'.

Do you follow a sports team? If they play badly one week do you decide that you will no longer support them? Do you criticise their game structure and talent as though you yourself could have done better? Or do you have a favourite singer or band whose albums you own and love? If there is only one song featured that you hate, are you no longer a fan and do you throw their albums away?

Now ask yourself, were you one of the people who loved Verdict, raving about how it was the best episode ever and how Bones writers are fantastic and are some of the most incredible in their feild? How then, two weeks later, could you tear apart their work and consider turning your back?

Yes, this is a critic based industry. They put their work out there to be scrutinised, and some people love it, and some people hate it. And I'm sure they understand this better than we could ever comprehend. And yes, Eric was apparently 'told to leave'... but that is their industry.

But these writers have given us 3 marvellous seasons of what is, in my opinion, still the best show on television. These writers deserve our faith, our commitment, and our loyalty. You have to take the bad with the good.

I believe in Hart and his team. I'll give them my faith because they have never let me down in 58 episodes, and I have enough patience and trust to see where they take things following Zack's demise.

Bones, I'm still here, cheering for more.

Well said BB, although I was not particularly happy with last night's episode, this is my favourite show and I love it, will no doubt be back for season four!

I'm not going to stop watching the show. It is still my favorite show that still airs. I just really hated last night's episode. And, I have faith season four will be better, but the only way I WOULD stop watching it is if we get a whole season like last night's episode where everything was out of character. Otherwise, I will watch every episode of this marvelous show until it's over.

Even though I've said some harsh words about PitH, I promise to everyone that I won't stop watching Bones. There's just no way. I love the show too much to give up on it.

Like you, I was surprised that so many people announced that they wouldn't be watching Bones anymore... I guess they wanted to express their frustration towards the season finale, it's possible that they regret their words afterwards. If not, and they actually stop watching, I don't think they were real Bones fans to begin with.

I know what you mean.. Yes the finale was not perfect. Far from that. If you ask me it should of been a two-parter so that they could of worked out the Booth shooting and Gormogon/Zach story better. But that doesn't mean that after one episode that isn't great you should stop watching. Last week the same people were saying that Bones was the best show ever.. Some people are just a bit dramatic.

I agree with you completely, BB. The episode may not have been the best ever, but I don't think it was as bad as people thought. I actually liked it. Okay, maybe some stuff wasn't all that well worked out, like Booth being shot, and 2 weeks later, he's able to run around, fight, etc...but please! This is a tv show, not real life, and after all the injuries BB have already suffered, if they were to have to follow a real-life rest, the episodes would have months between them! And I actually thought the way they explained Zach's story wasn't that bad. Again, some details still bug me, but nothing major. Considering the strike, and everything, I believe they did a good job. After all, they crammed what was supposed to happen in like 15 episodes, into just 6!

Now that is not fair! You've written all the things I wanted to write about it all ^^" . Never mind. Many people actually stop themselves to the last episode. I prefer to look forward, wondering how this shocking new shall be worked out. Yeah, Zack is gone, that's a shame. But I wonder what else the writers do plan for us. They've given us great times, they've given me a smile back when things were bad for me. This show given me so much I just can't evn imagine droping it by just because of one episode, like some others do... I love it too much

Go girl! Thanks for this blog

You totally wrote stuff right out of my mind! After wading through so much negativity here and on the Boneyard I want to pull out some hair. While not all negative posts are insulting and trolling but thoughtful, a lot are borderline psychotic and it makes me feel sad. Your blog made me feel better, that I'm not the only one who thinks that all tis negativity is way over the top.

very well said, I agree with you completely. I myself have not liked certain aspects of what has happened but not once have I even thought of turning my back on BONES for I know in the next episode there will be something I love.

Hear Hear my bones addict! I knew I could count on you to keep up the maturity and loyalty. You know I agree with you and regardless our opinion of the character, we owe Bones a lot more than insults and lack of faith; it's given us tears, laughter, amazing moments, it's made us know great people through it and it's given me many joyous moments. I think it deserves our support and trashing away the entire cast and crew because of an episode is the most ridiculous, immature and childish thing we could do, and it has nothing to do with age, because I know some 14 years olds way more mature than the "big ones" posting here who should be ashamed of themselves.

That said. Bring on more bones, I'm eager to keep on watching!

You are so right!!! I didnt like this episode but I still love my bones, I hope they come back next season great and redeem themselves as I know they can!!

My son and I watch Bones together. He is 12, so sometimes I have to do some parental editing..LOL..
After the finale, he wanted to know how long Zach would be gone, and when he is coming back. I told him that his character was going to a mental Hosp instead of jail and he wouldn't be back. He was insistant that he was coming back in the Fall. I totally didn't see this coming with Zach being Gormagon's assistant. I would have thought that having a genius IQ would make him to smart to fall for anyone like Gormagon.

Very well said, i couldn't agree more. I wish i had the nerve to post something along those lines when all the crying and raging burst out onto the forums.

That is so true, thanks for this post, you took the words right out of my mouth..

I think you said it all. I know for sure that I will still keep watching Bones, cause I just love the show I actually like this episode, I mean you just didn't see it coming at all. And hey they do have to find a way to keep us on our toes.
Hugs!

Sorry. I completely disagree. A true fan doesn't swallow something just because it's their favorite show. It wasn't just the Zack issue. It was a horribly written episode that ALSO fundamentally changed the tone and premise as we move forward. One bad episode is, of course, forgivable. That's not what happened. They managed to destroy much of what makes Bones work in 40 minutes. Remarkable when you think about it.

That is true and as for me I have watched every episode and never missed one but some people like the original episodes maybe they just don't like the way it changed season 3 has been more about the chemistry and everything but not to much about the bones so some people like the old episodes better and don't want to watch an episode cause they know it won't be so tight around the case but more tight around the chemistry but that is what i think and everyone can do whatever they please

I had some problems with Pain in the Heart, but Hart Hanson admitted that he could've done it a lot better and I'm too obsessed with Bones to stop watching it. I lurrrrrve it too much.
And I agree with you completely sweetie!!! 58/59 ain't so bad. We need to give them the benefit of the doubt... I mean, they had the writer's strike, and the plots for Baby In the Bough, Man in the Mud, Player Under Pressure, Wannabe in the Weeds, and Verdict in the Story were already planned out. They had to rush a jumbled finale together, and I honestly think they could've done worse.
I mean, after all, they DID come up with the bathroom scene?

Yes, I agree with u... ( I said that I don't deserve to be called a Bones fan, but for a different reason...)..
Check out my latest blog, might like it what I say about this!
