"Decisions, Decisions"

At my age, I want to make as few decisions as possible. It's easiest just to say "yes, dear" to Bear and let HER make the decisions. My brain needs all the rest it can get. Make life simple. But nothing is easy anymore, including my last visit to Popeye's for chicken. It went like this:

"I want to order a chicken dinner." ( 2 or 3 pieces?)

Clerk says" "Do you want regular, crispy, or spicy?" (regular)

"I'll take that with fries." Clerk says "regular, cajun, or spicy?

Mumbling now, I say "Regular please".

Clerk says: "you might want to try our creamy mashed potatos". Grrr..."No, I want fries". Clerk says: "Did you say you wanted cajun?" (sigh) "No, regular".

Clerk says:"What do you want for your side dish?....."I'll take cole slaw". Clerk says:"We also have green beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, or rice". .Grrr...."I said I wanted cole slaw!"

Clerk says," I'm sorry, we're out of cole slaw, what other side do you want?" ..."I wanted the cole slaw!!" "But, I'll take the rice just to get out of here". Clerk says "Regular rice or spicy rice?" ....."Ahhhhh! "Gimme regular rice!"

"I' ll take a Pepsi with that". Clerk says: "small, medium, or large?" (pause) "Small" Clerk says: "diet or regular?" Hmmmm"make it regular". Clerk says: "I'm sorry, we just have Coke". (Grumbling now) "Ok, make it Coke!" Clerk says: "Diet or regular?"............#$#@!@ " Regular!!"

Clerk says: "Will there be anything else?" (growling loudly now)...."No!" "Now I'm too tired to carry anything else, just get me out of here, and fast!" "And no more questions!"

Clerk pauses, then says: " For here, or to go?"

"NEVER MIND, "I'M GOING TO BURGER KING!"
