Yep, I never thought a simple board game would consume so much of my time. I bought this game on Xbox Live Arcade a couple of weeks ago for 800 MP or 10 US dollars. I wanted a fun strategy game so I bought it, not knowing how addicting it was.
For those who have never played or heard of it, it's a fairly simple game. The game starts with you placing settlements on a hexagonal shaped board, which is made up of even smaller hexagons. Each hexagonal space has a number and a resource on it. The numbers range from2-12 and the resources consist of Wool, Lumber, Brick, Grain, and Ore.You place settlements so that it touches the corners of a space. If you roll the number of one of your spaces, you receive that resource. You use these resources to build roads(allows you to expand and build more settlements), cities(upgraded settlements doubles the amount of resources you receive), and development cards. The development cards allow you to steal other players resources, build free roads, and net you victory points. The point of all this is to be the first to receive 10 victory points. Every settlement you build gives you victory points.
All in all this game is extremely addicting. Don't know why I felt the need to blog this, but hey its my blog![]()
